KR8s regularly produce a lot less vapour than 510s. Not to mention that they burn their filling, and you get to inhaled burned plastic. Bad idea.

I agree with this... I own KR8s and only the PT produces any kind of vapor whatsoever... the Joye 510 blows these away hands down.... :cool:

To the OP issue. You should be able to see down into your atty (I'm assuming you have a manual battery for the 510.) Pushing the button, you should see the atty coil glow. Push the button in an steady pulse (off/on/off/on) in roughly 2 second intervals, keeping the atomizer hot, but not burning it up. The glow of the atty coil should get brighter and brighter. This is the quickest and easiest way to restore life to a soaked / crusted atty. Search the forums for other threads on atty cleaning. There's all sorts of methods people use.
If you don't have a manual battery, get one (or several, or better yet, a 5V mod). At a rate of 1 atty per day, being able to resurrect a few atties will pay for the mod overnight, plus you'll get a lot better vapor production out of the 5V anyway.
