That's great Chris problem solved..
Funny thing is I have an evod too and it works perfectly, Flawlessly so far, not a drip of leakage or any other problems. My wife uses it, 2 Weeks not one problem. It's unbelievable not One drip or bad hit.

Yes, I know that there are thousands of people out there who have no issues with their tanks. I really do wish I was one of them. As I mentioned in my OP, I thought the vape and the draw were pretty darn good from this thing! But I'm kind of a stickler for quality. Now, I understand that the world is not a perfect place. Mistakes happen. But I have to do a little math when I judge my overall satisfaction of a product. It goes something like (complexity of product x possible failure points) / failure rate. DISCLAIMER:This is a completely made up formula for demonstration purposes only. Calculator not required... Basically what I mean is the more complex a device is, the more forgiving I am about defects. Now with the Protank, the tank itself has 1 function. Hold liquid. Don't leak. Pretty simple! Failure at this level is not an option for me. So my journey for a new tank continues....

One thing I have found that helps is storing it on its head (mouthpiece). Mine worked great the first day then flood, flood, flood. With lots of mucking around I found that if it is flooding, or just filled, if I let it rest on its mouthpiece it keeps the juice from saturating your wicks. once the wicks dry, it works great.

I have kind of a similar issue. But only after re-coiling these things. I use 3MM silica wick, then take it and put 2 strands of the 3MM silica on top, looks exactly like the factory build. Tests at 2.1 ohms no problem, place cap back on ensuring wicks are aligned properly. Fill about 60% full, put head on, seems to not leak, take a primer toot gently, then fire, good taste and then.. eliquid all in my mouth. I have tried with 6 different heads. The second I do anything other than screw a fresh one into the base I get flooding. Using all 65/35 eliquids so it's not too thin by any means.

It's frustrating to say the least since I really just want to vape, but the flavor is not there with the Evod or protank specific heads that I'm getting out of my Vivi Nova which I've rebuilt 50+ heads for and all have worked perfectly.

It's Frustrating because It's my favorite looking tank, other than my RSST/AGA-T2 and vapor production is great with it, just low flavor and I can't muck about with it at all!

That's a lot of wicking material. But I don't understand why it's flooding like that. Have you tried cotton? This is a much better wicking material, much more absorbent and much better at holding liquid inside the atomiser. You only need a tiny amount. I had muted flavour, average vapour production, and leaking onto the battery until I started rebuilding mine with cotton. It's transformed my Protank 2.
