I should have known, but I did not realize just how much juice you can go through dripping. I got my first dripper yesterday and I am so thankful I first got into diy ejuice before hand or I would be in trouble. My suggestion for anyone looking to get into drippers, learn to diy or expect to pay beaucoup bucks on ejuice. Anyway you look at it, it's as good as "they" said it was...

Edit: I should have stated I'm talking about low ohm drippers. 1.0 ohm and lower. I'm using a .7 ohm dual coil.

I used to go through LESS juice while dripping! This is compared to cartos, of course, in the 'old days' when they were full of fluff and died quickly.

It's really a device/coil thing. If you have a small coil and in a small container, like with an atomizer, and you drip into it you only drip 3 drops at a time and vape them. You 'waste' at most about 3 drops of juice if the coil dies...and that's after weeks/months of use. Vape it to the 'done' point before cleaning. minimal waste.

OTOH, if you're using large devices with multi coils or using sub-ohm or want lots of vapor...of course you use a lot of juice. You're vaporizing more per second to get that volume. Not counting waste. You'll notice you use battery charge up faster too.

All depends on the RDA you are using. The larger the chamber the more juice & air is required to keep a lower resistance coil cool.

I use a 12mm A7 with a ~2 ohm coil, and get about the same flavor as a 22mm RDA with a ~0.5 ohm coil. AND, I get 3+ hits/drop instead of using 3 drops/hit.

It's no different than figuring the AFR (air fuel ratio) for a car engine. The larger the combustion chamber .. the more air & fuel it takes to fill it at the same AFR.

And, the AFR and temperature of your atomizer will determine the flavor you get ... not the volume.

It just depends on how you have everything set up, really.

But I would say one definitely goes through more juice using a RBA, whether its an RDA (dripper) or an RTA (rebulidable tank atty) than someone using a standard clearomizer or the like.

It's been a long time since I've used a clearo but for a long time I used a kayfun on a 30 watt device (1.5 ohm @ 15 watts) and I generally consumed 4-6 ml of juice daily. Now I've switched to using strictly Reo's with bottom feed RDA's. They're all running dual twisted wire (28 ga) coils @ .5 ohm and wicked with either cotton or rayon and I still consume 6 ml daily. There is very little "waste" when using a Reo. I also think I vape less because of the efficiency.

That said, I've used set ups with really low resistance ~.2 ohms and really went through the juice. To me, that really isn't enjoyable, nor is it an all day, everyday vape.
