I have been using my Protege for almost 2 weeks now and I really Love it in the mornings and when I am driving BUT I have to say that I couldn't live without Smokey, my Prodigy. I got my CHUCK last week and while 6 volts is good nothing beats my 5 volt Smokey....When I get my 18650 batteries I will try my CHUCK with those and see how I like it.

Just wanted to throw this out there for anyone trying to decide between 3.7 volts, 5 volts and 6 volts....I'll take the 5 volts hands down. If you can only afford ONE, get a Prodigy......

I agree with you, 3.7 is great but I still like the extra punch that the Prodigy gives. I tried 6 volts but couldn't figure out how to adjust my juices to get a good taste. Having said that I still like the Protege' for public vaping.

I would have to agree with everyone here. I love my Protege but there are times when that 5v hit is just so sweet. And the 6v vape is not too tasty. The only time I liked 6v was using some juice I got from another supplier that I won't mention here. But I really enjoy being able to adjust my voltages also.

The switch without resistor is the best thing I could have done for my PV line up. That allows me to use the big azz 18650 in the Prodigy. That is nice. Very nice indeed. But the Protege is a very close second and a very nice little device for public places when you need something that looks fancy or easily concealed.

So having both PS devices is a definite plus and I am real happy that I pulled the trigger on the Protege also. Even though I had to send it back I still love it.. lol...

Throwing in with the "glad I have both" crowd. It has been harder than I thought to go back to 3.7v; I'm still using the Prodigy a lot. You just want that extra depth sometimes... and then some days, you want that Extra all day long.

But I would advise anybody that their first gear ought to be whatever sounds good to them, so they can see if they'll take to vaping (I quit smoking with a 901, so it can't have been THAT bad), but their second purchase ought to be the Protégé.

Then, if they never want to be completely satisfied by anything else ever again, they should get a Prodigy. :)

Right there with all of you! :)

I am the proud owner of 2 Prodigy's, 2 Proteges, and 1 passthru. They all bring something different to the table and I LOVE each and every one!

I decided to not ever go down the 6 volt road.... I just don't think it is needed. 5v ROCKS!

I quit smoking almost 10 months ago and could have never had the great success without these. My Mom quit smoking last November and LOVES her Prodigy and I am getting her a Protege for Xmas.

I started with the regular batteries with a 901 moved on to a 510, got a 401 (pilot) for looks and yes... spent a lot of money that I wish I never had to. If only these mods were available back then!!

For anyone out there wanting to quit stinky, smelly, kill you cigarettes... I would highly recommend the Protege for your first e-cig. Then get a Prodigy and PT if you are at a computer a lot.

PureSmoker has always had great customer service and Steve and Casey will always take care of you!!!

Riskee Yuice is the best!!! ;)

Add me to the list. Since getting the Prodigy many weeks ago it's all I've been using. I love it. Nothing beats the Prodigy 510 combination IMO. And best of all, I've never blown a single atomizer with it. I can crank those 510 atomizers at 5.0v for well over 5 seconds without any problems at all.

Now, bring on the second generation Prodigy!! And here's to hoping Steve gives us current Prodigy owners a discount on it.
