I'm a little nervous with some feedback about the Janty 801/kissbox atomizers having a hard draw. Ones I've burnt out both went on a mod I made before I learned how to keep the draw smooth. Don't like the assembly method on the DES801's I've used. Had the base break off to easily, so have only been ordering the Janty TAWA's, when they have them in stock. Same with my 510's.
I decided this week to do some of my own experamenting, I built 2 mods last weekend. Both will handle 2 - CR123a or 1 - 18650
batteries. For my tastes, the 510 with a freshly charged 18650 can't be beat, running around 4.2 volts, and not having to charge for days was also sweet (switching between 510/801 mods all day). Then on Thursday my resistors came in, and now both are modded for 5 volts (.50 ohm resistor in 801, 1 ohm in 510).
My observations thus far: 801 rocks at ~ 5v, gets great throat hit, warm plentiful vapor, and doesn't overheat to badly. 510 is even better than at 4.2 volts, more throat hit, huge clouds of vapor, closest I've had to the feeling of an analog. But it doesn't hold enough
juice just dripping, so I have to use a cart.
Bottom line, on friday I'm ordering the 801 Prodigy. Switching my 510 back to the 18650 until the Prodege comes out. My mods work great, but I want something professionally made for public
vaping. My mods look like pipe bombs!
This tread also convinced me to try the 901, will order a few atomizers this week to give it a try.
