It's just so called adults being kids.
It's not on FB. It's on a petition site. (Although there are still plenty of reasons to avoid FB without that.)
Melissa showed me the petition and I showed Jerry (with a ...?) He decided to start this thread which I think is a very good idea. The petition itself doesn't really matter -- the sooner it fades back into its well-deserved obscurity, the better. I think the important thing is that Classy and the other mods know that most of us do appreciate the hard work they do.

So has anyone started a "Ban the whiner who started the lame petition petition thread" yet?

"Classwife did some things. I didn't like those things she did. What things did she do? Why should I tell you that? The point is some things were done and she has to go to make things not...umm...Classwife is bad!"
I don't know Classwife. But I'm certainly not going to sign a petition that uses something like 150 words to say absolutely nothing as far as I can tell. So I support Classwife.

Now that I think of it, this reminds me of a conversation I had many times in high school:
Student A: "I hate Mr. Parker (the Vice Principal)."
Me: "Why?"
A: "He gave me detention."
Me: "For what?"
A: "I went of campus to have a cigarette."
Me: "So...you're ...... off at Parker because he is enforcing a rule that you willfully broke?"
A: "Well...yeah."
Me: "You're an idiot."
::end scene::

Probably got "moved on" already. I recognize one of the petition signers.......and it wasn't her that did it, and it was several days later than it should have been........
Classy and all the mods here work very hard, and put in a heck of a lot of time and effort. It's not like they get paid for it or anything. So they might just be a bit crazy. But either way, I support Classy and am proud to consider her to be a friend (and yep, if i earned an infraction she'd likely give me one 
)

She's got a way of smoothing a lot of things over before they escalate, in most cases with a firm but gentle hand. Leave her alone and let her do her job and the forum will run a lot smoother. For her to either quit or be removed would be a great loss to ECF.
She's only smacked my hand when I well deserved it, kind of like my parents were forced to, so I've no complaints whatsoever.

Classy is, well classy. Known her for a long time and she is a sweetie. Every moderator has a rough job to do and she does it well.
I've seen her handle a situation where someone was being a down right jerk and she handled it like a pro.
As a poster here stated, someone got their hand slapped and didn't like it.

I don't know what is going on here, but I'm against most moderation in general. Let people say what they want to say, don't censor us. If something is off-topic, fine, if it is on topic but offensive, who cares.
If it's not someone already gone, they'll treat him like everyone else here - warn him repeatedly for his actions on the forum & let him dig is own grave. I haven't seen an unfair or capricious action by ANY mod here. This is a well-respected public forum that people trust for information. You don't reach that level by playing fast and loose with the rules. They'll even let us play here in the lounge for a while with this, but my crystal ball tells me they'll eventually close this thread for "conduct unbecoming/unnecessary".
Charm, I already told Classy to delete this thread, if she finds it inappropriate. If it gets closed or deleted, I'm sure that there will be a good reason for doing that.
