I don't know what is going on here, but I'm against most moderation in general. Let people say what they want to say, don't censor us. If something is off-topic, fine, if it is on topic but offensive, who cares.

and you knew the rules when you joined the forum.......there are plenty of those "other" places that let things run wild. ECF is and has always been the forum I'll stay with. Classwife has always been fair and as her name implies "Classy". It's a tough job and those who think they can do it better are free to, well start their own....just let us know how long that works for ya........

It is troubling to see an individual direct his anger at any of the ECF Moderators.

But it hurts me deeply to see such misguided anger by one individual directed at CW. A person who has worked tirelessly. A person who is Fair. A person I have known for a long time and consider my Friend.

I don’t understand why someone can’t understand that posting to the ECF is a privilege and not a right. And if they do not like the ECF rules or the way it is run, that they are free to leave.

There are some electronic cigarette forums that run that way. Don't ask me their names because I deleted them from my bookmarks after a visit or two. If you ever want to see adults (we are all over 18) acting like 7-year-olds, pay them a visit. People swear just because they are so proud that they know those words (and I swear plenty, believe me), bullying, chasing away newcomers for fun…

Do I ever think any of the rules are silly? Sure, my favorite being that the automatic censor requires you to talk about the "Richard Van .... Show." But most of them aren't. They allow us to discuss vaping in a pleasant atmosphere, teach newcomers about vaping (there is strength in numbers, especially if those numbers represent voters) and share information. And the moderators who donate so much time enable that.

if this petition is about a recent thread where to OP was giving her a hard time, she was spot on with him/her. rules are rules, and need to be followed, if you don't like it, go elsewhere. I don't know where I would be without this forum, lots of info and no BS. CLASSY STAYS!

I'm pretty sure they aren't. The petition isn't even on the forum, so I'm pretty sure there's nothing legally binding about it. So who cares? The bottom line is the rules of the house are the rules of the house. You don't want into someone else's house and pee on their couch. And if you do, you don't get to be angry at them for throwing you out.

Pothole, no one here believes that ECF management would take seriously any petition to get rid of a moderator, Classy is safe. I started this thread to show my support for her and those who have and will be posting in here are showing their support for her too.

I believe that I speak for the majority, when I say that we are not only showing our support for Classy, but for all of ECF management.
