I think dripping has ruined vaping for me.

Yeah I stealth vape all the time at work (including while writing this post lol). Just recently realized that inhaling again further reduces vapor lol

As long as the Reo will accept the Kick, I'm ok with it. Mechs may give straight DC power, but they're only hitting around 3.7 on average. (I've never actually used a mech personally, so be nice lol. This is only what I've heard and read). That's why ohms are talked about more on mechs cause you can't change the output without a kick.

I pump loads of power through my microcoils. The one I'm vaping on right now is a 1.2ohm microcoil on a Protank Mini 2 (since I'm at work), on an MVP 2 firing at 5 volts. On my Vamo V5, I fire at 6 volts on the same coil. Using the ~3.7v output of a mech on the same build would leave me unsatisfied (I think).

I don't think your MVP is putting out the power you are expecting. It has a 3 amp limit, so your 1.2 ohm coil is only getting around 3.6 volts from the MVP. It will fire the coil, but the circuitry dumbs down the voltage to a safe level automatically. At 1.2ohms / 5 volts it would be pushing 20 watts, something only a DNA is capable of.
Now.... Put that same coil on a Reo, sit down and hang on tight. I think you would be pleasantly surprised!
Just something to consider :D

Correctomundo! The MVP is limited to 3 amps as Minimalsaint mentioned, so you're actually getting around 10.8 Watts at 3.6V.
Now... on the Reo, that same 1.2 Ohm coil using a fresh AW IMR 18650 1600mah battery (4.2V) you're at 14.7 Watts at 3.5 Amps.
Flavor... POW!

Well now I'm kind of mad actually. I've been vaping at 5v for a while expecting more power. -_-

Now my wife is going to castrate me since I'm going to -yet again- need a better device.

Heh... oops! Tell her your "Investing in your health" or something along those lines. I'm sure you will get some good advice here, others have traveled down that road before!
Lucky me, my wife bought me my Reo as a Christmas gift/1year smoke-free anniversary "Trophy"!

I'm glad to see the rebuilding is going well! No more protank rebuilds with the positive lead coming out the middle of the center pin eh? :)

I never thought I would love dripping. It seemed like too much hassle, but YES! I LOVE IT! I'm waiting on a Trident RDA Clone. I got an Octopus to try different flavors.. the thing is a QC nightmare. I got an Igo-W to replace it... the draw is way to wide open for me (my bad on not checking reviews before purchase).. did my homework and i think Trident is the ticket! all that said, I still love dripping even as temperamental as the Octopus RDA is. The flavor is unbeatable.

I have a KFL+ clone and LOVE IT. I like tighter draws though, it sounds like it may not be the device for you. I have a Fogger v3 which has a more open draw that sounds like it would be more up your ally. Airflow, power, and resistance seems to be the elements we are balancing to get the prime vape. I think KFL+ with a 28ga microcoil at 5/64 inner diameter at 1.3-1.6 ohms and cotton wick is the ticket. I've only had it flood on me when I fill it wrong, and only had dry hits with too much cotton. after the first few builds I had it figured out. even those first few builds were decent though! the Fogger took me a bit to get the right coil into. It leaked on me, dry hits another time and its just a more temperamental device. Once you get it though, it is a great performer. A bit more difficult to build than the KFL+ especially with big hands.

Enjoy your journey - I'm glad things are coming along for you!

Didn't mean to bust your bubble, guy. It sounds like you are enjoying your device so keep on enjoying it!

Curious, you like an aqua>kayfun?

I do. The ability to run dual coils in an RBA is awesome. I get better flavor and MUCH more vapor from the Aqua.

Also the juice control in addition to the air control really make you able to fine tune your vape. The only downfall is the juice capacity. If they made an aqua with the same tank size as the kayfun I would sell my kayfun.

The truth is:
There are a million reasons to buy a Reo.....and they are all legit LOL

@Cshaver, didn't I just see a post a few days ago from you and how you had no interest in rebuilding? LOL Dripping is great isn't it? I thought the same as you about the power on a mech device. I had an itaste and thought there was no way an unregulated device could deliver the vape you wanted. So I got my first mech, took my coil off the IGO I had built for the itaste and built a .5 ohm coil using twisted 32 gauge kanthal. I almost blew my head off the vape was so strong. It was really too much. I rebuilt to a 1 ohm build and now I run about .7ohms. THere is nothing that will deliver that flavor. Mechs will do everything you need. WHether it be a Reo or otherwise. I have a steam Turbine, which is a genesis style atty and I use it as a dripper you can keep the tank filled and just tilt it to wet your wick to get the same vape as you would dripping. Enjoy, and yes you have ruined yourself, clearos will never do it for you again.

If you use lower ohm coils you won't be able to get the higher power from your MVP because of the amps limit.
All you'd really need to do is to use higher ohm coils.

HAHA You remember that huh? I told you guys I was very new to rebuilding :) But now that I have it down. I will never go back :p

I was looking at a kayfun clone just to see what the hype was about. My only problem is I can't spend 50$ on an atty. I just can't seem to pull the trigger. I did find a clone today from FastTech for 14$, but I can't pull the trigger on that one either, considering a Kayfun Lite clone for 14$ is going to be down right bad lmao.

I'm not loyal when it comes to draw type. On tighter draws, I mouth to lung. On airy draws, I lung inhale. I'm versitile

Lol yes, yes you did. And I will gladly admit it: I WAS WRONG

I think I'm going to order a Neme clone. It's only like 30$ and it'll let me try mechs. Worst case scenario, I was right in my initial thought process and I'm out 30$. Best case scenario, I get a better vape :)

Genny's intimidate me. I don't want to mess with SS Mesh lol. Plus, from what I hear, they're the hardest builds to get right.

Welcome to the club! Haha

$50 for a good clone is well worth it. Considering I paid $190 for my Aqua and think it's well worth it.

With my mod set to show resistance, I found it very illuminating to see my genny was measuring all over the scale when I fired; one second it's over 2 ohm, a second later its 0.5 ohm or some such; if the mod refuses to fire, take top cap off the genny and tap or wiggle the coil a bit and vape on!

So yeah; mesh is kinda scary;

You will love the Nemesis. I bought brass and I am about to order the Stainless Steel. As far as the genesis style I was talking about, I don't use mesh. I have no wick going into the lower tank. I just have cotton wicks set up like my IGO-L. I will admit it is not my favorite atty so far. I just haven't played with it a lot yet.
