I followed this link from another thread, and I though it worthy of posting for everyone. I think this is something new, at least, I've never seen anything like it. Looks like a new company.

Carto/Atty Cleaner Kit - Control Syringe, Luer-lock,10ml - Cartomizer Cleaner / Filler w/cleaning tube

I hope it works as well as they say. I just cleaned about 50-60 cartos(all kinds) by boiling for 15 minute cycles until the water was clear. They came out good as new, but it took a while.

If it works like they say, it gonna save a lot of time. Also, use ecf5 for a discount. Postage is reasonable as well. I just ordered 2.

lol looks like the cartomizer fillinater but more official, hijacked idea!! but a great one nonetheless would make things allot easier

2nd... Wonder how long it took them to pull this together... Vapian's original post was, what? 3 weeks ago?

Perhaps great minds think alike, but more often it's plagiarized!

Trust me guys, I put this together from my own feeble little brain several months ago. I've never heard of Vapian or seen his product till tonight! Great concept I might add. But these really are two completely different things. Check it out, you'll see a vast difference in them. I use this sucker for cleaning mostly while using smaller syringes for filling carto's. But with the addition of a needle you can use this to fill just as well!
just sayin...

Simultaneous invention (two people with the same idea) is common. I've even been using a homemade version of the same concept for months.

Mine is better in one way and worse in one way.
Better: My carto screws onto the syringe, avoiding: "4 ... Be careful not to push to(sic) hard or you'll blow the connector off the syringe!"
Worse: It fits only one size carto (you'd have to have adapters to hold other threads), and there's no way it could be used on cartridges (don't those push on instead of screwing on securely?).

Anyway -- if you're at all handy and have a power drill:

Nice kit, CigarMan!

That's the way it always seems to go with most inventions/ideas/innovations - if anyone's thinking about it, you can bet others are either already working on the same thing or just about to. :)

Very Good Idea using a control syringe... That should make it more useful for those with nerve/hand/motor control or just general clumsiness issues.

Personally I kind of like seeing this, as it seems to confirm the need (and market) for good cleaning & filling tools.

Both these guys are doing a great thing for all of us vapors. Vapian and CigarMan, thank you both! :toast: I am so happy to see you guys not in a *P'S'N* match over this. That's the one thing that turns me off very fast. I've seen quite a few "tantrums" over things like this!

For me, I'd rather someone else do the work and I just buy it. But, there are a lot of people that like to DIY. So as I see it, both these guys are doing us all a good thing!

There's plenty of room here for everyone to get what they want or would like to have. There's a market for each different supplier, just because they happen to come up with the same idea doesn't mean they are stealing someone else's idea. I know I'm always thinking of ways to make my vaping experience better.

We have some intelligent people here!

Exhalesior! If Stan Lee were a vaper, he'd be most proud! ;)

But, Vapian, you make a very interesting point. There have been studies concerning the crossword puzzles and their answers that show that there may very well be proof to back up this concept. Who knows, maybe Jung had something with the whole shared subconscious thing.

Very gracious answer. I was not familiar with your thread, and I went back and read it. You have some awesome ideas and have been working very hard. You, Sir, are a gentleman!

It seems to be a pretty obvious invention. I patched one of these together about 6 months ago (not nearly as market ready as this) using a syringe and carto condom. I didn't use it much because I stopped using cartos.

It's kind of like the drip tip. People used to hollow out carts to make a drip tip until super-t came along with a machined tip for that specific purpose. Now they are everywhere. It was an obvious idea that just took some time to come to market.

Or, you could just get this from your local Walgreens.
It is what I use.

I picked up two of those when I heard about them. Actually did a video on it but then did something incredibly stupid and lost all but the original clips, which I didn't feel like editing again. :)

That kit is not a bad deal. I was not impressed with the quality of the syringe - it worked well enough but the plunger on mine leaked past just a bit, being only a single-disc plunger. Eventually it would wear, I think, but if so it's cheap enough to replace.

The bottle adapter is well made and can actually screw into a Luer Lock syringe in case the connection between the adapter and the syringe begins to wear and it pops off more easily (as it did in 0smitty's video demonstration with this piece). The only potential issue with the adapter is that inserting cartos can be tough - I found that it folded back the black sticker/cover on my cartos more than once. But I'm assuming it would "break in" a bit over time and that would be less of a problem.

I also tested this syringe/adapter combo for filling rather than cleaning and it did a good job. It just required a bottle or vial with a large enough mouth to get the end of the carto into the nicquid.

Good find!

After seeing 0smitty's video, I went out and got one of these and used it for a cleaning session. I used very hot water and it did get them relatively clean but some smells persisted even after four or five flushings. I did the 40 plus pumps of air to dry, blew through them and let them sit for about 24 hours. I may try alcohol next time. Quality of syringe was a factor-my syringe broke while pumping out air after about 10 cartos. I also did not like the coverings coming off the cartos from the tight fit of the bottle adapter. But it's cheap and did the job.
BTW, Vapian, you are a class act and all on ECF should appreciate your inventiveness and efforts.
