On the advice of someone on another forum I belong to (this person and his wife vape), I ordered some Aspire glass tanks for my Kanger EVOD (650 mah) batteries. They fit, but I'm not getting a good draw on them, and there's too much airflow. I put tape over one of the holes, and the draw is better, but there's not much vapor, and it doesn't "satisfy." You know? It's not a strong enough hit for me. I looked at one of the replacement coils I ordered with it, and it says 1.8 ohms and then in parentheses it says (4.2 to 5.0 volts). My battery is 3.7 volts. Is that the problem? My instinct says the coil isn't getting hot enough to burn the juice properly (it's max VG juice, by the way), and I don't know squat about electronics but if something is rated for a minimum of 4.2 volts, my 3.7 volts is never going to be enough, right?
Is there a fix for this besides buying a bigger battery? Or tossing these brand new, very pretty tanks in the trash and looking for something that is more compatible with my batteries? I JUST received a whole bunch of new juice flavors, all or most of them "tank crackers," and it kills me that I can't use them if these glass tanks aren't going to work. And I hate wasting money, that's the worst part. I feel like I wasted the money spent on the new glass tanks.
Does anyone know if there's anything I can do? New coils, maybe, that will burn a little hotter? (I have no clue what I'd be looking for, but I'm thinking that would be my best option, if it will work.)
Thanks,
~Lannie
