I think it is time for a new set-up. I have happily vaped away on a REO mini with Boge 2.0 LR cartos for the past 10 months. Everything has gone good for the most part....but the past 3-4 weeks has been a little "blah" in the vaping department.

I have vaped 6-12 mg DIY juice for over a year. No problems there. I haven't felt the need to up my nic levels, or drop them, for that matter. Happily vaping at this level. Yet, I feel that my vaping experience is missing the "punch" it used to have. I have had hit and miss bad cartos....to be expected....no biggie. But I just don't feel like I am getting the same satisfaction that I had been with my REO. It seems a little weak to me. At first I thought it was a trouble shooting issue. Bought new batts (AW 14500), tried different vendors for my cartos, totally cleaned and noalox-ed my REO mini....yet it still just doesn't feel as strong and satisfying as it did. No major different stressors in my life, I am honestly just kinda cruising through life on auto-pilot (in a good way!) at this time. Career is good, marriage is great, warm bed and food on the table, bills are paid. Nothing is stressing me out that would change my vaping needs or experience.

I am thinking that maybe I just need a more powerful mod! Maybe 3.7 just isn't cutting it for me anymore. Maybe I am a big kid now and wanna run with the big dogs with more powerful vaping. lol! I have a ton (and I mean TON!) of stuff for my mini. More 2.0 LR cartos than I can possibly count. 10 AW 14500 batts. I DIY my juice, so that can be used with any mod. Never tried an atty ever. Always been a carto girl.

So......what do you all think? Any suggestions for me? I really wanna stay with a bottomfed mod, because I need ease of juice when at work. I am an RN that works 12-14 hour shifts, and I stealth vape in the bathroom. I really do not have time to drip or refill cartos at work. I also need something that I can safely tuck in my scrub pocket. That is one of the bonuses to my mini. It is easy to conceal at work. Not a fan of the wood REO's as I am sensitive to the oil they use to finish them. Want mechanical, no fuss no muss. Thinking a Grand may be good for me......but open to suggestions. Let me know what you all would suggest with my given caveats here.

As always.......thanks for input everyone! I look forward to seeing what you suggest!! vape on!

Humm, tuff one with that criteria. I was going to recommend a variable volt, that way you can bump the voltage up when you feel your missing something but the only feeder VV mods I'm aware of are the Grip, Redsky and Hog, all bigger than your mini, which you said you don't want.
Stacking batteries to get to a higher voltage is going to require a larger mod also.

You did say you're interested in the Grand and if that's case the other VV mods I mentioned are along the same size, might want to check one of those out.

Almost forgot and I'm not sure when it's due to be released but a VV version of the Grand is being worked on. I think the vv circuit is going to be implement in one of his other mods first though, maybe the Woodville.

Stacking batteries to get to a higher voltage is going to require a larger mod also.

One set of my 14250s fits my reo mini perfectly. The other set are slightly larger than 14mm and won't allow me to slide the door shut... I do 6.0v in my mini occasionally with the set that fits.

Thanks for the suggestions! I realize I am sort of limited here. Wouldn't be as big of a deal if my hospital allowed vaping. But they outlawed it July 1st. grrrr! I can get in serious trouble if I get caught vaping. No good.

I am gonna have a look at the vapage mod suggested as well as the 14250 batts. I just kept hoping this lull would pass, and it hasn't.

I'm also a nurse:) At home I LOVE my Provari and use it in the car also. At work I use a Little Sister vv vari cool mod from www.boxmods.net It's about the size of a bic lighter and I use a jonboy Lava tank on top of it. Very lightweight and a full tank can last me from1-2 days.......never had a leak from it:)

RIMP that is a good idea.....maybe I need to separate my work and home vape device.

Hz I just sent you a PM to send me a link to order an atty. Thanks for your kindness!

Aziffel thank you for your kind words. I did mix up a higher nic batch today to see if that makes a difference.

Everyone is so helpful. Thank you all so much! Searching vendors for some new options!

Quick question.....have any of you had problems with ordering from Kens box mods?? I am a little irritated......I tried to order, put my card info in, said the transaction didn't go through. So, tried again. Transaction also didn't go through the second time. Now, I have 2 pending charges on my debit card from KBM and no little sister variable on the way. I called the number on the website and left a message. I did receive an automated email that it was declined due to their CCV or security system detecting fraud of some type. I can 100% guarantee no fraud involved on my end! Same debit card I have used for 3 years and that I use for all my vaping supplies. The email said the pending charges will go away in a few days since KBM did not accept payment and basically blocked the order. Just wondering why that happened?!?!

Makes me leery of attempting to order from them via phone. Just wondering if anyone else has had this problem before.

Great suggestion on the LS, forgot about that one, excellent for stealth vaping, just might need to take a second set of batteries along, 10440s aren't the longest lasting batteries and you probably wouldn't want to use LR cartos/attys with those small batteries. Small price to pay for the size though.

NICnurse:
I haven't heard of any ordering issues. I can vouch for the Ken though, shoot him an email or leave a message via the contact page as well. I'm sure he'll get back with you.

You could also try a VV Army Tank V2. It's the smallest VV bottom feeder that I've seen and the battery life is insane with a couple of AW protected batts. The grand wouldn't be a bad idea neither since you can either use the 4.8 nihms or CR123 for 5 and 6V vaping.

Although, like it's been suggested before. You can either try a Cisco 1.5 ohm 306 or even a Resurrector since you like cartos.

I'd go with a Grand - you could try 5 and 6-volt vaping with it, and could get an Evolv Kick when they're released to give you a variable-voltage option for it. And if you go that route, maybe send your Mini in to have Rob give it a once-over after you have the new one in hand.

Welp.....here's where things stand after all the great advice!

1. Heard from Ken via email. He was very helpful, sent me a link to order from his old cc process server. I am gonna utilize this once I get the refund for the two (uugh) that I already paid for and my bank is holding funds for. I have 100% trust in getting the $$ refunded back, but don't wanna tie up over $300 with a vendor I have never purchased from before. Just a little skittish about that. Ken did make it sound like his new cc server is really really great security wise, but if you type 1 letter wrong on the "no bot no spam" authentication word it will kick your order right out. But he was very helpful and professional and I will entertain the thought of purchasing again once I am refunded. I give Ken 2 thumbs up!

2. Thank you to the generosity of Hz, I am gonna try an atty for the first time!! I am super excited to try it! Her generosity is above and beyond exceptional! I am excited to try the atty. I may ditch cartos forever!

3. Upped my nic, and nearly made myself stupid! Took 3 hits, nearly fell out of my chair. Prolly the first nic buzz I have had in over a year! Diluted the juice back down. Guess that wasn't the problem! Lol

4. Discovered accidentally that I have been on a bad luck run with cartos. I have had numerous ones lately that just aren't cuttin the cheese. Tonight I started digging a carto out of random boxes trying to find one that worked like old school boge LR's. Well......FINALLY found one!! I am in vaping heaven and already dreading when this carto fizzles out.

I had no problems with vaping or satisfaction until lately. Honestly, I sadly think this is a CARTO problem. I guess I never thought I could have so many fail me in a row, but I really do think that is what is going on here. I thought maybe something in ME had changed, but after putting this carto on tonight and it vapes like I love, I realized that it truly is something with my hardware. I feel bad that I somehow doubted my Reo because I have loved it for so long. Now that I am having a great vaping night, I am starting to get a little mad at cartos. I realize nothing is perfect and there will always be DOA cartos, underperformers, etc. However, I have been through a carto a day for the past 2 weeks, give or take. They hit off the battery weak, produce less vapor, taste randomly good and bad, and are extremely inconsistent!!! While I expect a bad one now and again, I do not expect an entire box(es) to be this shoddy. If there was one area of vaping I could change, it would be to up the quality control of these. Obviously, something is seriously wrong with Boge right now. Some of these cartos are from this summer, others were just purchased in the last month. There doesn't seem to be a consistent timeframe for these bad ones. Some boxes are entirely bad, others just have 1 or 2 that are crappy. Really irritating.

So......gonna venture down the atty road and if it lives up to half of my expectations, I will gradually weed out my carto stash and start an atty stash! For almost 16 months, cartos have been perfect for me. I do not wanna go through the vaping frustration of this past month ever again.
