I've been vaping away on my stock 510 with the blue aquarium mod. great vapor, great taste. my issue was constantly refilling the carts. so i ordered the 510 to 808 adapter and got some cartomizers. well i am underwhelmed as to the vapor production. should i have bought the 510 to 'cartomizer' adapter? this was posted in another thread i beleive. it's just that there is no vapor volume and it seems that there are some serious air leaks, i know there are 'ports' to let some in, but maybe i picked up the wrong connectors. please any advice? thanx!!

You have the right adapter. The 510 adapter used to use cartomizers is the same as the 510 to KR808D-1 adapter - usually written along the lines of "510 to 901/cartomizers/KR808D-1/greencig" or some variations. There was also a few reports that the 'thin band' (small center section) types didn't work as well as the ones at altsmokes or heaven gifts, but I don't have any thin band ones to verify that.

I find that both the length of time, flavor intensity and the amount of vapor on cartomizers can vary greatly and none can equal the output of vapor as 510 atty running at 3.7V.

Sometimes airflow can effect vapor (but also will make the draw harder) and some have 'taped' off one intake on various model to 'tighten' the draw. You might try that, but what you're experiencing is more common than some would care to admit ;-)
