I think I want a provari but I'm not sure what else to get with it. Provape has a starter kit that comes with a Protank but I have a couple protank minis but I feel like they are way too airy.

Currently I have a couple of eGos, the PT minis and a couple of the joyetech CC clearos.

Does anyone have any suggestions for something that's easy(ish) to use that would look cool with a provari? So far my only experience has been with BCCs. I don't feel like I'm ready to start rebuilding coils but is be willing to try out cartotanks. any advice would be much appreciated!

Thanks!

Get the AW batteries on ProVapes site (there are cheaper prices elsewhere, but you are already getting free shipping so it works out about the same), and a good charger.

For a good carto tank, IBTanked. baditude has a bunch of blogs about using carto tanks.

susieq has some good advice, you can always use the Protank 2 until you decide what to get. Many different delivery systems out there, and we all have our preferences. IBTanked is a good choice if you are considering carto tanks, really the only way to find what YOU like is to try different things.

Check out the Boge F16 v2 carto tank...tighter draw but awesome flavor and vapor. Vaporbeast.com has them on sale.

I think I might actually prefer the tighter draw. The Joye clearos I currently have are on the tighter side and I like that better.

I was going to buy the AW batteries from them too.... everyone says they are the safest. I think I'll also get the plastic case for the batteries too.

The IBtanked tanks look so cool too, I love how you can customize them.

I also read those Boge cartos are good too.

I guess I have some reading up to do :)

Ooooops, forget to tell you to get a battery box. I buy one each time I buy batteries. Never carry spare batteries loose in a pocket or purse. They can come in contact with other metal things, keys, coils, and they will vent, which is what they are designed to do.

ETA: If you can go to the ProVari subforum. You will get many good ideas there of what works well on a ProVari.

Rewick the ProTank with boiled cotton, if you get the right amount, it stiffens up the draw.

I would definitely go for a carto tank on a Provari, along with an RBA.

The Aspire BDC Vivi Nova tank is a good intermediate tank. Changeable coil heads great vape. I run the Russian rba on my Provari and the Terminator-C. Haven't messed with carto tanks, seems a bit fiddly to me, chose to go the rba route instead. Most of my builds last for months and only have to change out the wick every few weeks or when I want to change out the flavor. Heck have had the same build on the Term-C for like 3 months now without having to do anything but fill it up.

Forget about overpriced AW (no, it is not the safest battery), go with 2900mAh Panasonics ncr18650pd or pf with nipple top. This battery last forever.

You should try Orbtronic sx22 (18650), it beats Sonys at high amps pretty badly.

Kind of confused about your battery recommendations. Or should I say you seem to be confused. While both your battery recommendations are good, for the Provari the AW is the safest since that's what it was designed around. And use of another brand can void warranty. And no battery lasts forever, really forever? lmao. Also the Provari will only run on nipple top batteries.

Actually using another brand won't void the warranty, as long as it's a button top IMR. ProVape recommends AW, but some people like EFest.

I mostly use IBTanks, but I also use Protank 1s because they're convenient. I vape either a very strong flavor or unflavored in them, so muted taste isn't an issue. And I restrict the airflow with these. No joke. They fit perfectly and can be layered if more restriction is needed.

Get OUTTA here. REALLY?? So I MUST ask - how in the WORLD did you discover this fact?

Just FYI that I'm literally sitting here, laughing and shaking my head in amazement. This is absolutely marvelous :)

Nothing is confusing, for Provari nothing runs longer than panasonics ncr18650pd or pf (nipple top).
SX22 beats AW, and Sony at very high loads (more for mechanical mods). I really don't know why are you mixing sub-ohm vaping thread recommendation with this thread. That is pretty confusing.

panasonic 2900mAh longest lasting battery overall (for regulated mods). Up to 10 amps.
SX22 keeps higher voltage longer than any other 18650 battery (it keeps the same capacity at any load). It is rock solid performer above 10 amps.
Very simple and straightforward.

What was very confusing Provape was selling Trustfire batteries, and at the same time not recommending them.
Thanks to one ECF member they do not sell Trustfire batteries anymore.

Note: (to clear confusion) dice57 quoted my SX22 recommendation from thread about sub-ohm vaping.
Sub-ohm (mechanical), and Provari (regulated) not the same category at all.
