When using protank2's on my provaris I had all kinds of problems. On my v2 provari with the protank2 screwed on all the way, I had absolutely no airflow, protank2 would not work on that device. On my v2.5 and my mini the protank did work fairly well, but my draw was so inconsistent from head to head. The solutiion for me was the kanger air flow control valve. Thats the base that comes on the aerotank and can be purchased seperately. Have had no issues since using that base, it even works on my v2 provari.

I have protank minis and I do believe the airflow adaptor will only work on the full size protanks and not the minis?. Is this true

Yes, that is true. I personally no longer use any toppers that are ego threaded because I exclusively use only my provaris now.

Didnt someone ask for pics of an IBTanked on a Provari?

This ones for you Baditude. Im rocking a Killer 705 rebuildable cartomizer in an IBTank with an airflow controller from some random mod I had because I like the extra weight. Please excuse the crumbs in front of the juice from Goodlife vapor, I was eating a brownie earlier :)

Lol tanks are cheap, but soon add up when you end up with 7/8 tanks.

I have just inspected closely how my protank mini sits on top and notice the ego adaptor does restrict the holes on the tank. If I look closely through the holes it is visible. I think this restriction is what's causing part of my issue.
Here is a picture and as you can see the adaptor is virtually the same length as the air holes once inserted.
Would I achieve any benefit if I drilled out the holes slightly bigger.

By this picture you posted it looks like they(air holes) will be obstructed once its screwed in. What about grinding down the part I have circled to just under the air holes. I dont it would harm much if at all the functionality of the adapter at all. That would free up the air holes and may fix your problem.

Or ream a few holes 2-3 times the size. By the time adapter is back on it looks like he would have a larger half hole which would still be a tad bigger than original holes. Picture angle may be off so up to OP to judge the remedy but looks fixable for sure one way or another.

My wife is a huge mini p2t fan. All i need to do is ream 1 hole slightly larger by hand and she is happy. So i would do 1 hole at a time and test.

I have a ProVari got it when they first came out. Had to send it in to get it change to a version 2 because the first ones wouldn't handle low resistance. I almost exclusively use a smoktek 3.5 tank with a 2 hole 2 ohm carto. I have a Vamo too and while they both work well there is no comparison to quality. My Provari must be 5 years old maybe older and it works as good now as when I got it back from the upgrade. The tank I use is a cheepy but works well for me. I am thinking about getting a new provari cause my wife took up vaping and I let her use the provari because the Vamo is a little tempermental. You can't go wrong with a Provari but I wouldn't get the small one.

I am not bashing the Kanger Protanks, but since getting a KayfunLite+ when they came out, I have never used one again. After my wife tasted the difference, she has a KayfunLite+ also. Hers is the newer batch 2, vapes the same. We both use Provari's and couldn't be happier. Between the two of us we mush have 15 Protanks collecting dust in the vape drawer. I realize there is a price difference, but with the clones out I am not sure anymore. Also, creating your own wick/coil could seem intimidating, but it is really easy, saves money on replacement coils, and the flavor is just better IMO. If that isn't the route for you you might consider a carto tank. Easy to change out and great flavor as well. Good luck to you. I hope you end up enjoying your Provari as much as we do.

Ok gang, just a little update.
I just received my Kayfun clone, which is a beast of a topper. Didn't realise it was so big and heavy...
Managed my first wick/coil that was included and its showing 2.5ohms, not bad for my first attempt.
The flavour is so much richer than the pro tanks. I have doubled the clouds that i was getting from the PT.
Thank you for the advise from everyone, it definitely was the PT that were muting the flavour.

Just a quicky but is there something similar to the set up of the kayfun but smaller.
This thing is huge and weighs the same as my provari. Its also pretty much the same height as the provari.

I was in the same boat. I used to love Mini PT 2's. LOOOOVED them. Before I got my ProVari, I bought a Kayfun clone and couldn't really vape the PT2's anymore. I sold all my PT2's to naturecannon's wife....(lol).

Yes it is a beast of a topper, and I'm afraid to put it on my VV3 (my in case of emergency break glass device on my desk).

SvoMesto created a Kayfun Mini....They look to be about the same size and shape as a Mini PT. They never gained enough popularity to create a clone. I've heard they've been discontinued and will be re-released in a newer updated version. One issue I would see with them is that they are SMALL, which would make building a coil on them particularly difficult...
