Don't feed the Troll. The guy has 1 post. He probably works for the FDA.
He's grinning at all the responses.

The other day I was showing someone my e-cig and they were like eww glycerin/glycol that's bad. And also a dude with diabetes said it wouldn't be safe, but he smokes cigs, yeahhhhhhhhhhh. I didn't have anything to say after that. It's their choice to keep smoking, and I realized right there how much influence the FDA and government has on these poor souls.

Many people on here probably have different views on ......... because of the FDA/DEA government etc.... I'm not going to get into that, but I bet some people on here that argue an e-cig is safe, are totally against ......... because of what the government tells them and all the lies!!!! booyah.

the ........ besides after the etc.... should say m a r ijuana

Who here is of average age and receives a government approved flu shot????
Not I TYW I'd rather sweat it out and chew willow bark till I have no other choice. =P
Peace of Mind is NOT trusting the ones addicted to money and pulling the strings.

What dormouse said
"I will inhale just 5 of the safer things that are already in cigarettes: nicotine, pg, vg, water, food flavoring."
you can keep the other 4000 chemicals, some not even identifiable. I don't want them.

Love a good ol FDA troll, it's sweet to see they care.

Still, there's really no comparison, even if someone works around the fog machines, to inhaling form an e-cig.
Again nobody really KNOWS 100%, so I don't criticize the wary. I do find the logic in sticking with cigarettes due to health concerns completely odd.
And I'm open to whatever surfaces. That doesn't mean the FDA, because logic defies trusting the FDA, but long term reports and studies as they happen.

Again, to me the evidence points to e-cigarettes being far and away better for you, but until we've had a few decades to see what unfolds due to long term vaping by the masses, we just don't have conclusive info. My brain says "use e-cigs, duh."

I love trolls. So much fun. If the FDA or tobacco industries are looking for reasons to ban these things, they're looking in the wrong place. Besides CASAA is on the ball, and no justice in the country will find any reason for the FDA to go ape..... over this device while cigs, cigars, pipes and chew are still legal. Thats why they're judges and justices, they're smarter than you're average beurocrat. Most of em anyway. GOOD LUCK FDA SUCKERRRRRS! Goodbye thread.

Whatever happened to the popcorn lung scare and the studies showing chronic phlegm problems from PG & VG coated lungs in long term (1+ years) vapers? I was right there with all of the rest of the vape cheerleaders a couple years ago. After a few months I started having massive increased phlegm to the point of having a hard time sleeping. Then I read the threads from the long term vapers who were having trouble breathing, as well as the study going on in Asia about this very problem. I went back onto analogs after that and almost immediately my lungs cleared up again. Over the ensuing months I would occasionally vape, and I would notice within a few days an increase in phlegm. If I vaped a lot for a few days it would get bad. I tried PG and VG, and just about every juice out there. They all caused the same problem.

Now maybe I'm unusual in the way vaping has started screwing up my breathing. But I sure would like to hear from long term vapors (2 years +). How are your lungs feeling? Any increase in coughing, clearing throat, etc?

After struggling with smoking for 25 years, I REALLY want vaping to work. In fact I just ordered a GoGo in hopes that I can use it more like a cigar -with less inhalation than my 808s- and more nic absorption through the mouth.

I just think we should be smart about it... a little caution is a good thing; especially if it helps to develop a better/safer vaping product.

I'm sure if that Asian study bore out, the FDA would be spreading it everywhere. I'm not doubting your problems but, you may have an unusual sensitivity other people don't have. I don't see anyone on here saying what you are saying. So, I kind of doubt that it's widespread.

Thanks for the input! To each their own. I just know that with each cigarette not smoked, another life is saved.
The Ecig may not have researched long, but neither have most of the prescription medications on the market, the devices used in hip replacements, long term effects of gastric bypass, etc, etc. I could go on and on.

Here's to everything going gold for you also.

.....long term effects of gastric bypass...

This is a good analogy... we really are the guinea pigs for this technology, and so are the people who are the first generation of gastric bypass surgery - it's not perfect and no one knows the long term effects, but for many of us it was this or a likely early death of smoking related disease.

That's why I always say, if you can quit cold turkey or using "proven" methods then good for you!

(fwiw: cold turkey is about 5% effective, FDA approved methods are about 10% effective, e-cigs are about 80% effective)

Vaping is indeed a risk. I'll take the risk over regular smoking any day!

Life is a risk really.......

I'm enjoying watching it all unfold...
The eCig industry is doing it's job. The FDA is trying to do theirs.

I would like to see more studies on eCigs, but at the same time....I don't want them to become so regulated and controlled that it drives the price up so high that it's just another rich boy's toy.

I've got to hand it to the eCig people...they've managed to keep this thing alive much longer than anyone would have expected. I'm really surprised that some big tobacco or pharma company hasn't already leveraged all the patents and stuff to either monopolize this industry, or shut it down in a heartbeat. They already have the money and marketing power (and possibly even alot of utility patents) to do it.

Keep up the good fight...
Potential:
eCigs to big tobacco is kind of like Microsoft and the PC was to IBM and the mainframe.

Now this is the perfect true post. Bravo

Yes stick to the FDA approved marlboro's...those are safe :p
or the FDA approved prescription drugs that kill thousands....

haha, I understand your concerns, more testing is always good but that doesn't mean an FDA stamp means safe, wasn't true then isn't true now.

- say what you will about the FDA and Government lies, but you know what? When the government puts their stamp of approval on it, it's considered lible and in good faith; therefore you can expect it to be safe and you can vape knowing it's been reviewed by professionals and its backed ala FDIC insured banks. In other words: Peace of Mind...

Yes, I'm sure that all of those people who committed suicide after taking the FDA approved Chantix died with peace of mind.

Since the OP hasn't returned since posting this, I'm going to close it. Don't feed the trolls.
