One of my friends visited yesterday. She is a smoker, and hates it. She has to sneak cigs, as she doesn't want some of her family to know. She tried my Riva, and thought that it may work for her. She's coming back next week, and we're going to let her try my flavours, and see what we need to order for her. I'm seriously thinking about having her DIY, as that is what most of mine are now. BTW, I did have a puff of her cig, just to see how I'd feel about it. I do seem to long for the cig sometimes. I now realize that I don't want a cigarette, anymore. It tasted awful, and made my mouth feel horrible! I actually couldn't wait to brush my teeth! YUCK! I think that sometimes we want what our "memory" of a cigarette is.....

Congrats on the possibility of converting a friend!! I was converted by a good friend and coworker and we have now made it our mission to convert as many as we can. They will thank you like I did him! Better health, better feeling, better flavor. What's not to love about vaping!!!!! I can't even smell analogs anymore with out getting ill......how the Hell did I smoke those things for 20 years?? YUCK

They're always more willing to convert in a pinch. You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make it drink... but if it just walked for 2 days in the sun its totally gonna drink :p Hopefully your friend will still be as receptive when she comes back.

Ive tried to convert many people, some have still stuck with it, others ditched pretty quick, others just give the "thats neat" and then light up their smoke, and some just think your on drugs cause the entire concept escapes them.

When we share our personal journey and experience in switching to e-cigs, good and bad, I think the option to know more becomes an "invitation" to a smoker, rather than feeling forced to commit if they're not really ready to.

I simply feel good about having created some awareness of what the benefits have been "for me", or maybe answered a few questions or simplified a few things about e-cigs. If not now, perhaps someday when they are ready to quit, they'll know that e-cigs are the method of choice for millions - and it's because you planted the seed!

The frustrating thing for me is that my genuine enthusiasm is contagious and makes vaping sound so positive, that when people ask "where can I get one", I have to be the bearer of reality and let them know them that what I might recommend to them, may not be available to Canada!

Same here, converted a friend and we spent 3 hours trying to get some Pg liquid at the pharmacy's got 200ml for cheap. Bought Loranns liquid and am learning how to mix. I purchased my kit on a friday and before it even arrived on monday, I mentioned to my friend I ordered one, he immediatly ordered one too and when mine arrived he was very happy to see how good they really are and how they work simply.

I didn't push...I just showed her how the device works, and let her try it. She's making the decision, without any pushing from me. There's nothing worse than having someone nag you to quit smoking when you're not ready. I even told her that there is "something" missing when I vape, although I really don't know what it is. She seems ready to quit, wants to quit, and resents having to smoke, which was essentially the way I felt. I do hope she goes ahead with the vaping!
