I think what needs to happen is flavoring should not be put in E liquid!

I Feel very strongley that this is the reason I am having SOB along with others(heavy lungs), Ive never smoked cigs just chewed.vaped for 2 months and now SOB? I think what needs to hapen is have flavor atatchments that are not vaporized but something near the opening(mouth piece) that gives some flavor...................We need to look into these flavors carefully.IMO..........not everyone is or will have SOB while using E Cigs and they are lucky cause I have ejoyed vaping but for us having reactions be carefull.....we are all guinea pigs on this adventure...........Im done vaping until I get my lungs back

shortness of breath
Are you allergic to an ingredient? Such as flavorant, pg, vg or nicotine? An example when I started vaping I read this forum and decided to go with vg. BTW I also bought some crappy RAth juice at the same time. I would wheeze at times. I also produced thick mucous sitting near my epiglottis. I had numerous signs/symptoms of possible vg overload. I decided to cut back on vg to 30-50% and it worked on the lung problems. However, it could also be switching to vaping as well. I agree we are lab rats . If I vape allot I still get the mucous sitting near the throat. Oh well. Something I can live with.

Understanding your symtoms while adjusting to vaping

Aron, have you seen a doctor to verify what might be causing your shortness of breath? If you haven't then you probably should if not for any other reason than to just make sure everything is alright.

Shortness of breath or a heavy feeling in the lungs may also be part of the withdrawal process when switching to vaping. It could also be a sensitivity to PG or VG, depending on how much is in the juice your using.

You should really find out what exactly is causing this problem rather than creating a panic.

not trying to create panic it seems like not many people are affected like me, a few are......just like anything I can drink milk some people cant.............Ive never smoked cigs before, I was a dipper...........I was just stating that there should be flavors that are not vaped, more of taste thing IMO many of these flavors are intended for the GI tract not the repiratory

aron...good possibility that you have allergies. My daughter went through this. Doctor first told me it was anxiety that she was going through. Then she told me she had ashma. Finally, I took her to an allergy specialist just to have her tested because I didn't want the kid on anti-depressants and inhalers. Turned out she has fall allergies. Everything else was negative. Please go get checked. It's worth the money spent just as a precaution.

Okay, fair enough. If you feel that you're having a problem with particular flavors then just don't vape those flavors. Some people may not have a problem with them. You also have to take into consideration that the symptoms of withdrawal are going to be different for everyone and may occur at different times. Some people get the cough, others don't. Some people go through fatigue, others don't. Posting that you think flavoring shouldn't be added to e-liquid isn't going to help you or anyone else. It's just going to needlessly scare other new people.

In the meantime. get checked by a doctor!

just an opinion.........but wht got me going on e cigs was all those yummy flavors
and if the flavors are the reason im having SOB that sux and it would be nice to have an alternative to flavoring that didnt involve vaping it, my opening statement my have been a bit biased, it should have read I wish there were flavor packs of some sort that gave the user the taste of whatever without having to vape that flavor...................if that makes any sense

Since you switched to vaping from dipping as opposed to smoking, your lungs probably just aren't used to having foreign stuff in them. The majority of smokers who switch to vaping may not experience this type of thing because we're quite used to our lungs being coated with thick, sticky tar. I would assume that VG and flavors leave some kind of residue behind but I can tell you that it can't be anywhere near as bad as what tobacco smoke does to them. I can actually breath again.

Womenof Heart Drs dont and wont know how people react to inhaling PG/VG/flavors until more research is done, biopsy's of lungs Ect...........If I went in to the Dr they would take a CXR, mabye breathing treatment, some steriods and send me on my way, this is to new (vaping) to have any concrete evedince of it doing anything yet, so pretty much I would be wasting my time and money to have them tell me what I allready know...so like I said mabye Im alone but I dont think so

my 2 cents ...
quite strange to have the same reaction to 20+ different flavorings ... would rule that out.
nicotine is a bronchoconstrictor ... try reducing the strength. Even change your mixing base ... Strength might even be mislabeled
PG is a harsh irritant. Up your VG and see if that works. ----> lowering nicotene and upping pg took care of my SOB
Stop vaping few days .... restart ... stop .... that should confirm if vaping is the cause and not only a coincidence
Still having SOB? see a doc.

Makes perfect sense aron, and I agree... the *thing* I believe you are searching for is called CANDY
Woman of Heart and other made a very solid commentary about getting checked out by a doctor - you could have allergies, pneumonia, pulmonary edema - and I'm about 98% sure it is not because of vaping.
