I don't - hate it, I mean. I just understand it.

I like the eGo. It's a perfectly good little e-cig. It's easy to use, and it worked to get me off cigarettes. But I just can't read in the Newbie forum anymore.

I need throat hit like a truck parked on my face.

Get an eGo!

I'm looking for something that will give me maximum battery life

Get an eGo!

My e-cig doesn't give me any flavor - help?

Get an eGo!

I have an eGo, but I'm looking for something more - any suggestions?

Get an eGo!

Like there aren't any other PVs out there?

ScottinSoCal. You are correct but most people just go with what they know. The eGo/Riva is a good unit at a fair price and they are selling many. So when people ask a question those that answer are just telling them what worked for them. Remember back when you got your eGo/Riva. I for one thought it was the best thing ever versus what I had. Well then along came the orders for LR Atty's, DIY to tweak juice & mods. Damn I wish I could tell everyone to go buy a Vari but we all know what that would start. I want all mechanical, too big etc. So I guess I am just happy to be able to purchase and try so many differnt things and not smoke.

Yeah, I don't get it myself. I picked up one based on all of the recommendations here - it's cost me a small fortune in various carts and atomizers. I've wasted lots of time farting around with it, trying to understand why it's so cool and, in the end, it's by far my least favorite of the four different PVs I have so far.

I think the ego (or it's clones) are good starting kits for those that don't mind something a little bigger than a cigarette. I use my buzz now more than my ego, but still suggest an ego to most people when they want something to start out. Of course, it also makes it easier that you can get egos and their clones here at kiosks (and at 2 bars I know).

Dont worry in a few months Everyone will be recommending something else all the time. Thats kinda how it rolls, it's was all about the 510 when I joined.

Very few noobies want a Mod, huge thing to start out with..most really dont want anything bigger then a real cig. eGo's are a good transition between them.

I started vaping 2 months ago on an Ego with 510 lr carto's that got me off analogs. I then got the eGo-T atty 2 weeks ago and loved my ego battery even more. In fact, Sunday morning I was vaping with the tank atty and getting huge plumes of vapor/great flavor and started thinking to myself, "maybe i should cancel the order on that Provari...who needs a vv mod." The coffee finally kicked in and brought me to my senses.

The ego is a great way to get into vaping at little expense--if it's not for you, you've lost little.

It's hard making recommendations for a newbie. I will say an eGo-Type is a big step up from what many of them have started out with. At least, the ones who haven't done their homework before purchase. It's a good PV, with great battery life. Even though I've got bigger & better PVs now, the various eGo-Types are still a part of my arsenal. There are situations I am sometimes in where I wouldn't want to risk a MOD that costs 4 or 5 times as much.

To heck with an eGo... get a Darwin. :p

You know, that's not such a bad idea!

But, Scott...your eGo isn't big enough. You need another one. I recommend a 1300mAh. Stick a LR Cisco atty on that and you'll be set.

Just kidding...please don't hurt me. I'm delicate...like a little flower....
