LOL ScottinSoCal, I'm a fairly new vapor, and I remember when deciding on which unit to buy, I didn't want to invest too much...just in case I didn't like it...Three Kits later, I wish I had come to ECF first and asked the same question about what to buy -- it might have saved me time and money as I learned by trial and error...

LOL Untamed Rose -- you're so right about how it was all about the 510 before.... heeheee... that's when I got one of those... luckily I am a more experienced vapor now... and drooling for a mod :)

The problem I see with most non-mod units and especially the 510/eGo system, is that it seems they have major battery reliability issues. I'm not sure what the average life of the batteries is, but it seems to me like while these systems may offer a lot of up front bang for the buck, they may actually have a much higher long term cost of operation once battery replacements are taken into consideration. Seems like most users of these systems report battery failures.

the eGo, TorneGo, etc saves so much time...trying to run it down for a newbie...

imo, if you match it with the right atty in the optimal range for its true voltage, you got a vape that matches something as high tech as the Vari or the Darwin.... in that power/atty range...

I have a Vari, a Darwin, a couple Phidias' .... and a USB eGo batt.

When all things are equal (see above), there's no difference

Hiiiilarious...finally clicked on this thread...seen it for a while but definitely OP...I almost went ego (which would have been great) however after about 3 weeks of forum research I ended up realizing I wanted more battery life and wasn't concerned with appearance and ended up with a mod. I do recall every suggestion was get a 510 kit, an eGo, or a Riva. I do however appreciate every last suggestion. But hilarious thinking back!!

Now that I know what time it is...what I should have done as a brand new vaper was go straight to a bottle fed Reo mini with a Cisco LR306 and sampler packs of juice from each and every vendor. That is the apex of vaping, which I shall soon be arriving.
