Interesting thread :)
I`m not sure that heavy shag is for me, I am searching for the juice with the deepest kick. I`ll try to explain myself a bit clearly.

I am a starter with ecigs and i`m not sure about anything ecig related now, but when it comes to analog cigarettes (such a funny term) I was always dividing "strong tobacco" into two basic categories. First will scratch and burn your throat, and the other gives you that deep "bass" lung punch without being so harsh to your throat at all. I prefer the other "lung kick" kind, and i am trying to find an ejuice that can bring me as close as possible to that rich and deep push.
Any ideas for a first juice purchase? I ordered an EVO with a few cartridges so I guess I should be quick with order

Thanks for any ideas guys ;)

I'm not sure I've understood properly what you want but glycerine gives good vapour volume and is not irritating, maybe you could consider mixing your own.
Well yeah, I`m definitely going into diy direction, I just want to find a strong base for future experiments. Now I`m thinking, if I dilute heavy shag with VG, that should hopefully trim some harshness, but still stay strong.
But guess what, there`s no heavy shag juice on janty`s site no more.

@efaglil: Thanks, I`ll have that in mind :)

The last time I looked for it at Janty Europe they only had it in cartridges, not bottles.
I guess you`re right Kate, no bottles.

I`ve been browsing through forum and I found a very useful post from Tropical Bob which I`ll quote here. I think it will bring some light to this subject. :)

I came across a really good scientific report that confirmed what we have assumed: GENERALLY, the higher the nicotine, the greater the hit. Nicotine hits the top of the airway passages and causes the muscles there to contract sharply. It's like gasping, or being punched in the chest. If the hit is strong enough, a user involuntarily coughs to expand the muscles.

But .. and this is interesting .. the PH of the liquid has an effect also. Alkaline cigar smoke, if inhaled, has a much harsher hit than acidic cigarette smoke, even when the cigar smoke has less nicotine. That means a liquid maker, to increase hit without relying on nicotine, might manipulate the PH of the liquid so that it mimics a nic hit.

Generally, the history of smoking has been an attempt to mitigate the hit, to create smoothness instead of harshness (that's where menthol with its analgesic effect comes in!). What e-smokers seem to be asking is that the smoothness-harshness level be set at that of popular tobacco cigarettes. Surely the liquid makers can do that with some experimentation.

So, i guess that heavy shag must be very alkaline. Interesting read, maybe we`ll find a way to tweak PH values in DIY juices.

Your intelligence is surpassed only by your charm!!! If you love the Beatles, like to play chess, and are single let me know. I'll catch a flight tonight! I know, I lose more women with that line!

I've been vaping for 10 days now and started to use VG a few days ago. Wow, what a difference! I have been vaping 16 mg high and have mixed it with the VG at a ratio of five to one (five parts juice, one VG.) I like a good kick to my smoke, but using the VG makes it a bit more subtle, not that harsh punch that a stale analog provides.
