I want to navigate away from that message

Since the recent upgrade I keep getting the agravating popup message that says "are you sure you want to navigate away from this page blah blah blah".

Of course I want to I pushed the button didn't I.

Don't get the message all the time so I haven't figured out the trigger for it. Any ideas?

Not, sure. Seems to happen if I click in the quick reply box whether I type anything or not.

I think that means your PC will blow up. LOL. Sorry about that, I never have that issue. You may want to contact the forum for that issue.

This might be a setting on your browser? Perhaps try a different one, to see if the problem follows.

I get this too on certain threads even though I have not clicked on the reply box. Firefox.

Also on Dolphin Browser on Samsung Tab 10.1.

It's not related to the reply box on my computer... I just get it... No rhyme or reason. Windows 7 and IE 8.

Extremely annoying....

It seems to happen when I click the "View first unread" button before the page has finished loading, bouncing around three or four times during the process. The cure seems to be open the page you want then go fix a cup of coffee or take a shower or cook dinner then come back and click on where you want to go from there. When you change pages just repeat. Simple huh?

You have to let the Facebook links pop up. I get the same thing if I try to hit the back button too fast.

I'm pretty sure it's the 'auto-save' feature in the reply box. Not sure if there's any way to stop it though.

That damned message just killed my reply to this thread!!! Dangednabit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 5 minutes of typing!!!!

I hate FB, those links are costing me in contests (EA's required speed and now I don't have that), that stupid +1 adds 15 seconds of loading time a page, wtf is up with that? I had a much more well thought-out and erudite reply but the error message killed that so this is what you get.

Get rid of the FB link, half of us hate that Big Brother organization anyway!!!

I have never seen this message on ECF. I am using Firefox on Linux. There are 4 trackers/scripts on this page, Facebook Connect, Google +1, Google Adsense, and Google Analytics, I have been blocking them since I started on ECF. Perhaps try Ghostery to block them? There are versions for all major browsers. You can allow or block them one at a time, to see which one might be causing the problem.

I use google chrome and I get the message when jump to my last post.

also the annoying auto save even when I'm not typing anything.

It does seem to be contained to the "go to" zones
