I see everyone at vape lofts and lounges smoking those egos and using tanks and all that. I feel like a lame ... walking into those damn places just to buy blank cartos.

I want to stick with si. but it's hard when I see all these mods surfacing. I bought the volt pro starter kit. I love it. my next step would be a spinner with the t3. how does that set up stack up against other mods and such out there??? help!

Welcome to the forum. The spinner and a T3 work great for an intro into VV mods. I started with a twist and T3 and still use them when I want something smaller and easier to carry than a big VV or Mech mod. I love them when running short errands, walking the dogs or riding the Harley. I just hang them around my neck on a lanyard. If your wanting a VV device with longer battery life at a good price look into a Vamo. They are very reasonably priced and have a pretty good following. It's going to be a bit bigger than a spinner though.

The Volt Spinner is a rebranded Vision Spinner with the 808 thread that Smokeless Image products all have.

You know you can put an 808 threaded cartomizer in a cartotank, right? That would look kinda silly on one of the smaller Volt cigalikes, but being that the X2 batteries are essentially ego batteries with an 808 thread you can now stick with Smokeless Image sporting a cartotank. :)

You will need one of the slimmer tanks to put on your X2 or Volt Spinner battery. The 3.5ml tank shell from My Vapor Store will work. Pro DCTank Tube

You will need to use the longer blank Volt XL cartomizers (45mm length) and punch your own holes in the cartomizer with a carto punch tool. One small hole should be enough if you use the juices from Smokeless Image. Be sure to use the silver stainless steel cartomizers, and not the black ones which have a black sticker on them.

Smoktech DCT Cartomizer Punch

If you don't want to punch your own holes, you can order pre-punched 808-threaded cartomizers from here: 808 Single Coil XL Tank Cartomizer for the SmokTank XL

I got my Vision Spinner 1300 a little over a week ago, and I'm loving it! Of course this is my first set up...but am very please. I've been using different sized Viva Nova tanks and really like it..but have seen so many talk about the T3, I placed an order for 2 today. Can't wait to try them out and see what all the fuss is about.

I bought 3 of the Spinners because my husband is also doing this...he was 2PAD smoker, me a bit over 1 PAD smoker...we Vape constantly and our batteries go about a day and a half before needing charged.

First off, welcome to ECF. :)

I'll leave the other questions for people who have tried the products you've mentioned. I want to address the "feeling like a lame ..." part.

If you like using SI cartos, use them. (I personally like SI, also, and use the Volt at work.) If you want to go with something bigger, cooler looking, whatever, that's awesome, too. To my knowledge, there is no wrong way to vape. Go with what you like, what you're comfortable with, what you can afford, etc. If you're like most of us here, it was not wanting to feel like a lame ... that got us started smoking in the first place. :2c:

Keep on vaping.... however you wish to do so. :thumb:

Don't. Everyone gets into it at their own pace. Some people go all the way up to mods with fancy delivery systems and still find themselves partial to cartos and drip attys. It's not bottom --> top, it's left <--> right.

Personally, I have yet to make the jump over to more advanced mods, mostly because I love my spinner/T3 setup. Coming from the cigalikes, the difference is night and day. You can put pretty much any delivery system you want on it with adapters if you're dead set on SI (a fine choice, btw.) The main differences between these kinds of batteries and the big-boy mods out there are that the battery will not last quite as long (though it's still a substantial improvement over cigalikes - double the life at a minimum) and you won't have handy things like a built in multimeter or swappable batteries. But really, just being able to adjust your voltage and play with different delivery systems will improve your vape a whole lot. The smaller form factor is something to consider, too.

You could always return the Spinner if it doesn't satisfy. I'm pretty sure SI will refund your purchase if you aren't happy with it. They have a 30-day money back guarantee.

But all that aside, whether you go with say, a Vamo or you pick up a Spinner, you really can't go wrong. Grab whichever one seems most appealing to you!

It's all about preference and nothing about "being cool" or "looking good." Get what works for you and makes you happy - any size, whatever type of mod, spinner, anything. I personally have a Provari and ZMax simply because it's giving me great delivers in terms of what I need to stay away from smoking. I started it off with Blu Cigs -> eGo-C -> eGo Twist... none worked for me, so I got the Provari & ZMax (yes, I jumped a few steps). Now, smoke free for almost half a year now! :) Do what works for you, don't worry about everyone else.
