I was sold a fake ViVi NOVA

I purchased a Vivi nova from ebay thinking it was the real Vision Vivi Nova. I was a little suspicious when I opened the box saw a white driptip?? so I started doing research and I found this Beware of fake Vision Vivi Novas - Imgur now the I purchased from ebay clearly matches the fake one. So i contacted the seller thinking maybe he made a mistake and purchased some knockoffs. So I sent the seller a email and this the conversation we had.


ME: dont know if you are aware that the vivi nova you are selling are fakes. I purchased yours thinking they were real. first on the box does not say vision vivi nova, they are supposed to come with a black drip tip and your came with white, this thing leaks all over the place same problem I was having with another fake vivi nova I purchased. I want a full refund for this item. if you follow the link you will see that your vivi nova is the same as the fake.

Now he clearly states that its a genuine vivi nova and from what I have been reading Vision vivi nova is the real one correct? I know its only $11 but I hate to played for a fool. am I over reacting on this?

It's a smok nova, genuine it is, just not the vision brand. Give it a go, I think they vape better than the vision ones. The vision vivis have a real tight draw.

Vivi nova has come to become known as a type of clearomizer (vivi nova), rather than a brand, i.e., "The" Vivi Nova. There are literally dozens of vivi novas out there for sale. I think you may be stuck with this one. That being said, plenty of re-sellers are using this confusion to make money. Unfortunate, but caveat emptor rules. Personally, most of the vivi's are very similar, and many people cannot tell much of a difference between one, or another. I'm a bottom coil clearo guy myself, but I still own half a dozen vivi's and mini vivi's, and started with them, I just don't use them much anymore. I have many friends who swear by them, though. To each his own. Best to you and good luck.

bill is very correct, the vivi nova name is for the model type not the brand, vision introduced them (vivinova ce5 i believe), everyone makes one. and as long as he didnt say genuine VISION vivi your stuck. although i will agree he took advantage of an easy play on words.

They do have knock offs on the site too, which they stocked during Chinese New Year when they couldn't get the real Vivi's, but they are clearly marked as clones. If you order the Vision, you get the Vision.

I have stuck with gotvapes for 1 1/2 years for all things clearo. They were specializing in clearos when the vast majority of vapers hated them. We probably would not have most of the clearos everyone uses and loves today of it were not for their input on product design. (Others as well I'm sure, but I know they have been involved.) And I trust them to always send exactly what they say they are selling.

You could send those vivis my way.........LOL I love mine. But there definitely is a difference between the knock offs and the genuine article......the knock offs leak, bad. The real thing has never given me a problem

You can always go through Ebay or Paypal and file a dispute. You will be able to present your side and should the seller decide to he my present his side. If going through Paypal, you may escalate the claim after 7 days and Paypal will review the case and make a decision. I would show that the seller is attempting to gain business by selling a "knock-off" by intentionally leaving information of the manufacturer out of the listing.

Not to mention and please correct me if I am wrong, the picture he is using shows a Vision Vivi Nova box. If that is true he is falsely advertising his product.

I personally love the Kanger Protank but that is just a personal choice. I hate when sellers CLEARLY take advantage of the consumer by selling fakes. The up side of it is at least it was only $11 and not $110. You can file a dispute and state your case like others have said, either way you will probably get your money back because they are just being sneaky. Check their feedback and see if others have had the same problem. Good Luck!

To Bad your Source doesn't know a Version 1 From a V2.5 VISION Vivi Nova
Newest Vivi has Air holes on the sides of the 510 connection. i.e. like the left not right in pic 2.
Looks like he is comparing a Fake - Left - to an OLD Vivi - Right.

Seller may have pulled a bait and switch - The photos are of The ORIGINAL VISION
Report the seller and demand a refund.

If the title says vision vivi nova then it will be vision vivi nova but genuine vivi nova doesn't imply that it's vision. Vision is the company name. Ill make an exception for you, if you send it back and if its in decent condition I can refund your money as long as you don't leave a negative feedback.

That sounds fair enough, send it back. He never mentions vision, so technically he is correct, but that is kind of shady to say the least. Especially for $12. You can get those copies for a few dollars at fasttech.

EDIT - Just looking at his listing, the photo shows a vivi nova with no metal nipple on the top of the silicone cover. If he sent one with the metal nipple then that is bait and switch and (IMHO) you should file a complaint with Ebay.

Take this up with ebay buyer protection and you should get a refund in less than a week...
