I would like to try dripping and need advice.

I finally decided to give up smoking. I've been vaping for 5 days now and I'm really enjoying it. I really like all the different juices I have tried so far and have been watching a lot of vids about dripping with a atomizer. Right now I only have a Ego C Upgrade and a Cool Fire 1. My question is what kind of atomizer etc. would work best with what I have. Do I need a drip shield etc all the vids have me confused. Any info would be nice.

You'd need a RDA, or rebuildable dripping atomizer, to start. Best way to go would be with an IGO-W for your Cool Fire from your local vape shop & have them build your coils to try for yourself. Once you feel a little more comfortable with it, start building your own coils and experiment more. Please read up however on battery safety and ohm's law before travelling down that road.

You don't need a rebuildable atomizer, I would use the HH357 but the Cisco attys are nice as well (but a distant second, IMO). A drip shield is nice to have but not necessary. There is a little bit of a learning curve with dripping, but you'll get the hang of it pretty quick.

Don't get thrown by the price of the 357, they cost more but last a lot longer than any other attys I've used.
I would recommend you just skip the whole rebuildable thing to start with. Eventually you may want to try it, but if you are only interested in dripping, keep it simple.

Yeah, no. You do NOT need a RDA or "rebuildable atomizer" right now. Not at all. Don't even think about rebuilding until you've got a mod or meter that will show you your coil's resistance. Until then, go with either a 306 atomizer, or a 510 atomizer. Both are great little disposable attys. I prefer the 510, but many prefer the 306. They both work well for vaporizing e-liquid, and they CAN last months. When I first started vaping, I made one 510 atty last me 2 months without giving it a break. Just search "510 dripping atomizer" on a madvapes website and you'll find one easily. I also seriously support the Cisco Spec 510 atomizer like the above poster. Good recommendation.

I would suggest trying one of each resistance, since you are just getting into dripping. That way you can see what works best for you. It may be a bit of an expense up front but you will know what works for you. After that you can buy the resistance that you like. My personal preference would be the lowest resistance.

You should not need an adapter to work with the equipment you have. And a drip shield is totally optional.

Hi, congratulations on giving up the cigarettes and welcome to ECF.

I drip all the time using a Joye 510 atty 2.3ohms. There is a little learning curve but you pick it up quick. Cheapest and best way to try new flavors out before committing a larger amount to a clearo or tank. the 306 is good too. Here is a thread all about dripping on this type of atty.

Lot of regulars and experienced drippers in that thread. And ask questions, it is an active community of people. I love dripping, hope you will too.

The lower the ohms, the harder its going to hit on your eGo batteries. Try 2 different ohms. You may like a cooler vapor, or you may like monster throat hit. I prefer (and the majority of us, I think) low resistance. But since your using an eGo battery, you cannot go too low, or you will test the limits of your eGo battery and you could break it. You basically CANNOT go lower than 1.5 ohms on your batteries. But don't go ordering 1.5 immediately, try 1.8+ for now, I'd say. You don't have much forgiveness at 1.5 if it comes .1-.2 under 1.5 your eGo battery either will not fire it, or you'll have problems, or it'll break. Try 1.8-2.0 and a 2.4 maybe. I think you'll enjoy a 2.0 atty.

just chiming in to say I also use, and have been using for about 2.5 years, an ego and a SR (2.3) 510 atty to drip. I started dripping before rebuildables came along. I have a tendency to make things harder than they actually are, so don't overthink dripping. just do it :)
