I've have seven 19mm IBTanks that are 7 - 12 months old. I have five 22mm IBTanks that are five months old. I haven't had one crack yet. I have one Phiniac tank which developed a hair-line crack and now leaks juice. Figure that one out. (Phiniacs have the reputation of being extremely durable against cracking.)

Just saying, these are glass and they can break if they fall just right. Usually the blunt of the contact is taken by the endcaps, and IBTanked does use an extra piece in the caps to help absorb physical blows. You had some bad luck, sorry to say.

I've heard of people putting those little elastic hair bands or o-rings around their glass tanks to help protect them from a fall. That might be something for you to consider. You can get replacement glass tubes from IBTanked for like $5, so you can continue to use your tank.

Yeah. Prob just bad luck. It is a hairline so I think it's safe to continue use.
