Morning every one!, I've been browsing through ibtanked's website and I love the tanks from what I'm seeing but the only thing keeping me from bitting the bullet on one is the durability, being glass I have a fear that if I throw it in my pocket and accidentally run into something it may break, if anyone owns one how do they hold up to day to day use and the occasional accident. Thank you

I've been using IBTanked pyrex cartotanks since they were first put on the market...some 8 - 10 months or so ago. My total just reached twelve tanks (seven 19mm and five 22mm). I own several brands of cartotanks and they are obviously my favorite. You can see most of my collection in this photo gallery http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/members/baditude-albums-pictures-my-setup.html . These are a high quality, elegant looking, and inexpensive tank for the price.

These tanks are pretty tough. I've yet to crack one, and I'm pretty clumsy. Mine have fallen off of a dressing room bench onto a hard tile floor. Even worse, they have fallen from my lap getting out of my car and onto the parking lot. They fit very snuggly on the carto (attached to my mod) so I have absolutely no fear of carrying it in a front jeans pocket when out-and-about.

That said, they are glass, so do try to be mindful of preventing accidents if at all possible. Should you be interested, I did a thorough review of these tanks in my blog: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/blogs/baditude/3318-3-ibtanked-pyrex-glass-tanks-review.html

Hi

All glass can break, of course, but the IBTanks are pretty thick. I've had them fall on a wood floor, but tile or concrete would be something else. I've wore them on a mod on a lanyard and carried them in a cloth bag in my purse. There are no guarantees, but it's the caps that are the main expense. The plain tubes are around $5.00

I've had mine roll off my counter onto ceramic tile floor and survive just fine. They are very tough IMO. I did have one chip though when washing and it slipped out of my hands and bounced off the sink amd hit the same tile...thoughbit was just the glass tube. It is still usable as it was a tiny chip. I have a feeling with both endcaps in providing support it would take a hell of a hit or perfect positioning to break it.

Have you tried one of the 22mm ones on a ProVari yet? And does it look okay with the top of the ProVari being smaller than the body of it?

I recently purchased some ProRings which fit between the Provari and the 22mm tanks, much like the cones people use on their eGo batteries to hide the connector between the battery and delivery device. I don't have a pic using the ProRings with an IBTanked yet, but I do using it with an AGA RBA tank which has a 21mm diameter. Clean lines all up and down the entire device.

I purchased my ProRings from Rampage Vapor (Korean vendor) for $11 each. http://www.rampagevapor.net/provari-conn.html
Bomb Vapor is US based and has them for $20. http://bombvapor.com/index.php?page=shop.product_details&flypage=bv.tpl&product_id=137&category_id=24&vmcchk=1&option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=69. Other vendors have these, also.

Without the ring I think the 22mm would be a bit wide for my taste.

I know with my Zmax tele my DCT tank has a slight gap, and I hope that's not the case with the ibt tanks, it's not a performance issue that gap just bugs the crap out of me

With how everything else sits on my ZMax, I'm guessing the gap will also be there with the carto tank.

22mm with black pro ring on stnd/extended & 19mm on the mini
These tanks are great, and the caps are so slim (prob holds an extra 1ml then most for the same size)

Awesome tanks IMHO. I have an IBT & a Phiniac so I'm a glass convert. Juice has a slightly purer, cleaner taste I think.

I've yet (knock on wood) to drop it, but I'm more mindful of what I'm doing when I'm out & about.

I have a hard time believing this. IBTanked has never sold plastic tubes, having always sold pyrex glass.

Are you sure you aren't thinking about Valley View Vapor tanks?

I take back my previous statement. I just took a closer look at my IBTanked tanks, and they are in fact glass. But it seems way different than my glass phiniac tank. The Phiniac is way thicker and smoother.
