Rinse between every few fills and do a little dry burn if vapor production and flavor start to decrease. Once a dry burn doesnt bring it up to par anymore or if you notice the resistance doubles (that means one of the 2 coils failed) replace it.

Depending on how light/clear and clean your liquid is, also how sweet (some sweeteners seem to gunk up on the coil) you should get 3-5 weeks. Sometimes less - especially if you use a dark or gunky liquid.

replace the wicks with cotton yarn??

Yesh indeedily. Why not? The iClear 30 is nearly impossible to rebuild, don't get me wrong it can be done. It's just more of a hassle to do rather than buying new ones altogether. So that being said, instead of rebulding the coil just put cotton in the place of the silica wick. i've seen it done on the forum somewhere and they " said " it works great! so only 1 way to know for sure. Trial and error
