I noticed the connection to the atty in the top cap on the inside where the battery hits it is off center a bit and looks a bit beat up. It is also a bit loose as well. It can move up and down if I apply any pressure to the thread connection. I know this because I get lees travel throught the button before the battery makes contact. I had none of these issues with my Prodigy. I also noticed that when I press real hard on the button, I get way more vapor out of it! And it fires louder too.

Should this be covered as a defect? Ive had it for 2 weeks and now it's starting to make me think I am not getting all the performance I should out of my icon. I noticed these issues upon delivery but it fired so I didnt think it was a big deal but after tinkering a bit, pressing hard on the button produces much more vapor and TH. Either way, I need a new end cap but I hope PS covers this as a defect cuz the connection deffinatly doesnt look new or perform 100%.

If you look at the second picture, you can see how the left side sits lower than the right. It also looks like it's been beat up!

Hey Luma,

We have no issues replacing it bud. With that said, you won't see any advantages with an adapter free of nicks. The nicks you might see on the underbelly of the center post are probably on 75% of adapters. The center posts are fazed off on both ends, then pressed. When pressing (even stainless steel) nicks, crunching around the outside of the pin, etc... will appear.

Once pressed, unless you put the adapter back on the lathe via the atty connection side, polishing it back up is not a simple task.

Now, if the center post is moving freely (atleast for the most part) - this isn't a good sign. We see it happen every once in a while (its normally an undersized delrin insert that's been shaved a bit too much).

Best bet would be to shoot it back to us Luma. Shoot Jo an email (info@puresmoker.com) and we can get it exchanged.
