Idea for World Vaping Day

Are we sending thank you notes to the newscasters and stations who reported in accurate, non-sensationalistic ways, or what are we writing?
I ask, because, the journalists with integrity, who have done their best to portray both sides of the coin fairly, would be insulted if attacked.

There's a few of them out there...

The plan is not to rant. It is about telling your story of how ecigs helped you. Helped you quit smoking, helped your health if it did that, even if they helped you severly cut back on your cigarette use. No attacks. This is all about the positive.

Not attacking anyone. It's more for a show of unity.
It isn't meant for ranting.

I do want to say thank you to a local journalist who did a story on vaping in our area. Giving us exposure.

You can type one out and save it in a word type document. Then whenever you are called, to give your story, you can just copy and paste into whatever email body you want. I'm going to have to slim mine down for this plan.

Today is vapor day and we want to get the word out to every news organization to let you know not to be fooled by the advocates of big tobacco and big pharmacy who claim how bad e-cigs are for you. Cigarettes ARE much worse! Listen to the people using them on the streets and you will find there are A LOT more of us that have quit smoking than you think.

Love it... make sure though to use "vaper" to describe a person who vapes, and "vapor" to describe the actual stuff that emerges from your mouth when you vape.

This day is what CASAA and the UK vaping groups came up with.

CASAA is about tobacco harm reduction. In all forms. Snus included.

Actually, this is ECCA-UK/Rolygate's baby. CASAA helps them promote it, but we did not create it nor do we run it. If we had, it likely would be more about overall THR than just e-cigarettes.

Robin, I'm working on a blog post about ideas for the day/week. Are you on the CASAA Skype group for active members yet? I'd like to team you up with someone to help me get something out on Monday, if you're willing?
