I think its mostly because its a new toy. As far as the 0 nic goes, I think it would be better to find out if you're vaping more because each vape session is less fulfilling than an analog. If you're vaping more to fulfill your nic craving or if you just like vaping as it's own thing (if you smoked long enough you can tell the difference). If you feel like you're trying to satisfy a craving then maybe you should go to 24mg nic. If you're vaping for the sake of how cool it is to vape then definitely go with the 0 nic and just vape away as much as you want.

suggestion: up your nic content a little..

Two things I didn't even think about. If you up the nic level, you cant vape too much, since you'll start to feel a little under the weather. Great Idea, guys!

I was gonna add: only vape outside, but if your willpower is like mine that won't work. But it's worth a try, being as a lot of the time when I smoked, I went out like 15 mins after I decided to because I didn't want to stop what I was doing.

I thought that might work for me too. My first unit was a cartomizer one and the highest mg they carried was 16 so when I first bought liquids I started buying them in 24 then about a month ago I started buying and making some 30 and 36. So now I have stuff anywhere from 24 to 36 that I switch back and forth between all day long. Still don't put it down anymore often.

Maybe I should try 48 lol

(p.s. I saw you at it again!! :p )

Vaping for a break is hard for me because there is no clear end point like when your finished with an analog.
One thing you could do if it really becomes a problem is drip during your breaks.
Once you find out how many drops you want to smoke on a break, stop there.

I figured out that I want about 4 drops for a break, so I drip 2 drops to start.
When it starts to get dry I drip 2 more, and when it starts to get dry again, no more juice for me.

When I first started, vapeing 18 felt like vapeing air. I think the direct comparison between tobacco made 18mg seem weak. Now that I haven't smoked for almost a month, I've managed to drop back down to 18mg which seems plenty strong now.

Another thing is that with the e-cig there's no need to 'smoke the whole thing'. While this reality could potentially increase the net nicotine comsumption, I'd guess that the brain is taking advantage of the ability to normalize nicotine blood levels. With smoking, there might be less overall nicotine involved, but just after having a cigarette the nicotine levels might be higher. To me, being able to normalize nicotine consumption seems like a good way to lower it over time. With tobacco, just a single cigarette causes nicotine levels to jolt up, setting up a cycle that's hard to curb.

I would recommend vapeing more often, and not worrying too much about how much until about a month after the cessation of tobacco use. Once the tobacco feels like history, then set about restructuring the vape habit, and considering lowering the nicotine level before forcing yourself to vape less.

In my experience, I vape more each time I lower the nicotine level, but after a week or so I return to my regular 2ml per day. There is just a touch of effort involved. It was the same when I was smoking tobacco. When I switched from regulars to lights, lights sucked for a week or two, but then regulars tasted too strong. It was the same switching from lights to ultra-lights.

I've been vaping for 2 months and I'm STILL chain vaping. So no, it is not "new toy syndrome", at least not for me. I don't get it because I never chain-smoked? When I'm home watching telly, the PV never leaves my hand. Ugh! Have tried upping the nic level, but that didn't work, just made me feel ill.

Try the reverse - lowering or eliminating the nic level so you can vape all you want and not have to worry about how much nic you're taking in.

I'm working on that. I started at 11, then tried 16, which was too high for me. Then I went down to 14, which was still a little high. Now I'm at 12 and planning on reducing it gradually from there. Putting too much PG in my lungs is a concern as well though.

I'm a former 20yr smoker @ one pack a day. I started vaping using a Blu(with the PTB mod) on Jan 5 @ 18mg. I've ordered all my juice at that dosage, and I seem to be consuming about 1ml per day. I now have made several mods and up'd my consumption to 1.5ml a day. I'm in this for the long haul so I assume that my body will find a happy medium as I reduce both my nic strength, however I think I will always be vaping about 1ml per day.

Guess it is a little different for me, since I have to clean house, wash clothes, cook, thus I don't smoke doing those chores, when I was on paper stuff, I would go outside and enjoy, got into that routine 10 years ago when I got tired of cleaning all the crap from everything in the house, so I tend to do the same thing with the vapor......not all the time, at night it's a help to just vape in the house, lot warmer.
That's my story and I'm sticking to it.
