Ok so I am putting a dna40 into a hammond b box. When I cut the hole for the screen I realized I don't just want a hole there. So I got a sheet of lexan and cut it to the size of the hole my biggest problem now is getting it to look good around the edges. Here is a pic,


any one have any ideas on how to fame it. Im open to all suggestions, I'm pretty stuck I thought about taping it off and plastidiping it but that won't look good. I also thought about making frame with oven bake sculpey.

Ok this second part isn't a cosmetic mod but I didn't want to make 2 post. I plastidipped the whole inside of the box.
Does anyone know if plastidip is enough to protect against anything shorting off the box itself?

Ok I dremeled the hole out a little more and made cut out another piece. Fits a little better but would still like to frame it somehow. here is the improved version,

I would say buy a new Hammond. You could fill the hole with JB weld or something else and sand it. What you did looks alright, but I think it's worth it to buy a new box all together, an additional $7 to the ~$80 parts already doesn't seem too bad - it will look much better

Make bezel using a 3d printing service, or get some small angled brass or aluminum and make a bezel by brazing four together.

A google search would result in other bezel shapes and sizes, but a bezel is what you want.
