ok hi im trying to narrow down my choices and these are the ones im looking at now. i really dont wanna wait but i dont wanna buy the wrong one can anyone give me some info on what the differences are and which would be better

I've never used that type but I can tell you that you should do a bit more research or wait for some suggestions. What those sites are offering, you can find better offers elsewhere. I will say do not go for the SmokeStick one! For $100 you can get a lot more than what they offer!

and the other one, the smokestix one is EXTREMELY over-priced. I think it's basically a 510 kit but you are only getting 2 batteries, a charger, and 3 cartomizers; no atty's? no carts? (you can get two complete 510's for $35 and a box of 5 cartomizers for less than $10)

The Kr808D-1 is much better value for the money. It is also easy to find extra batteries and cartomizers from just about anywhere, for reasonable prices.

That was my first e-cig, and 3 months and many different models later, it's still my favorite.

But as Rosa mentioned, make sure you also order cartomizers. The kit on PureSmoker does not include any. I would suggest blanks, which you can fill with your own juice. Pre-filled cartomizers are usually disappointing.

Don't know SmokeStik... but puresmoker is a great company -

They both appear to be KR808's - you should look at some of the posts by mistressnomad...she has had a lot of important stuff to say about the Kr808...

In any case, it appears in both cases, you are spending a little more on marketing and customization.... which is cool... but you can get Kr808 starter kits cheap.

~also~ I find it to be extremely troublesome dripping with these... definitely a better choice if you like cartomizers.

look i was new to this no longer then 2 weeks ago, i had to get 3 kits till i found one that works, first i got the blu, you cant feel it in your throught like a real cig, the batts only have power for like 15 or 20 min. so that was out, then i got the revolver elite, it was good, nice throught hit and the batts last like 25 to 30 min. but didnt work for me due to working, so i got the ego and highly recomend it, brings out the flavor of the juice like no other, plus gives awesome throught hit and the battery lasts ....well never had one die on me, lasts like 12 to 18 hours. but if you have to have 1 that looks like a real cig i would say deff. get the revolver elite, but if you dont mind something a lil bigger then deff. get the ego

After reading reviews and checking out all the supplier forums for over 2 weeks I finally decided on the Sidesho from Modern Vapor. It was a great decision! I ordered on a Thursday night and received it Monday. It was ready to go right out of the box with the prefilled carts. The kit also included the charging case. im glad for all the help but its alittle annoying that it sounds like an advertizement when i keep keeping everyone saying get an ego i get it u like the ego and who knows i might later but i dont want an ego. other than telling me to get an ego does anyone know the best place or kit to get? and idk anything about adding my own juice i thought these things arent suppose to be reused? im at work and cant open most shop sites so i probably wont be able to look at anything till after 5 but all the help is greatly appreciated. theres alot of useful info. i like the hendu and hear its great but it is very expensive. i dont want to feel like im smoking air and i would enjoy some nice flavors and i kinda want it to be black.

The reason people are saying to get the eGo is because they're trying to save you money in the long run. The majority of us started out with something else and quickly found out what we chose wasn't right for us. Like so many, I went for the kind that looks like a cigarette and I wish I hadn't. The batteries don't last that long and the one I bought, the batteries take a good 4 hours to charge and they don't last that long before needing to be recharged again, maybe 2 hours maximum with what I would consider conservative vaping (one or two drags every 15 minutes or so). It has helped me cut down from 1 to 1.5 packs of smokes a day down to maybe 5 cigarettes a week but I want something better to help me completely put down the regular cigarettes.

I found this forum after buying my first kit and I wish it was the other way around. After doing a lot of research and listening to what others have said, I too will be going by the way of the eGo as well. I'm not trying to push it on to you, I'm just saying I think that's going to be the best one for me since I want something that has a longer battery life and holds more juice. It gets old having to refill as often as I need to in order to get the best vaping experience and to keep my atomizer wet so it doesn't burn out. The first kit I bought, was a double kit (two complete e-cigarettes) because my husband wanted to try it too. We spent a total of $230 for that kit at the beginning of Sept. When he gets paid at the end of this month, I'll be spending approximately $190 for a new eGo kit as well as the supplies I'll need to make my own juice. So, in basically a month's time, I'll have spent $490 on e-cig stuff. It's still cheaper than the $500 we would have spent but we could have saved ourselves a lot more had we found this site and listened to what the others are saying and started out with the eGo.

Vaping is just like anything else in life, you start out knowing nothing about it but the more you do it, the more you learn and the better you get at it, whatever that may be... walking, riding a bike, using a compter, driving a car... Once you get your first kit and start using it, you'll see just how easy it really is. If you do nothing else as far as research, at least watch MistressNomad's videos on this forum. I am just curious why you don't want the eGo? I started with the 510 which was great, but I travel and the battery having to be change every hour or so was a pain. I did get the PCC which worked well. I gave all that to my wife who is in an office and it works fine for her.
Here is where the advertisement starts I bought an eGo, it works great I am still using the same battery I used all day yesterday. The nice thing is my wife and I can share attys and carts, they are interchangeable. The 808 could be great MistressNomad swears by them. But I can only speak from my limited experience.

Just remember whatever model you choose if it gets you off analogs and bring you over from the Dark Side, YOU WIN.

as u said u all learned from ur mistakes and as all parents learn u have to let ur kids learn them on their own i am the typical newbie vaper i want something that looks like a cigarette. i want to be able to have good tastes. like coffee and cherry etc. and i dont smoke or vap all day so having a battery that lasts from 8 to 5 whle vaping on it for a total of about an hr the whole day then im fine. the more everyone tries to push u onto something the more u tend to say no f that i dont want it lol. so maybe 500 dollars from now ill want an ego but for now im gonna roll the dice and go with that KR808D. so if anyone has some great info on that id very much appreciate it. and who knows i might be one of the, i asume, thousands that enjoy them. does anyone other than the cute chick that owns one have any helpful info i read a review but i just dont know which one to get or what deal is best. or if theres different versions which one is best???

I have to agree with Mistress Nomad ... there is something about the 808. I started with it. Loved it. switched away from it and am now back to using it. I bought an eGo and every time time I used it I was disappointed in the vaping experience and would suppliment with my 808 .Getting Kr-808 PCC helps cure the battery life problem. Or the 808 XL batts... they last a very long time.


edit... if you spend alot of time in front of the computer you might want to get a kit with a passthrough to extend your battery life. I recommend a kit with a PCC to carry a backup. I started with vapor4life and while I do not care for their juices I have had good experiences with their hardware. I would buy a kit, blank cartos and juice from somewhere that sells smaller samples and I would order a bunch of smaller bottles of different flavors that appeal to you. You should also know that a 901 type atomizer will fit on the 808 battery and they are useful for tasting liquid to get an idea of flavor. It will taste a bit different in the carto but if you absolutely hate a juice chances are you wont want to waste a cartomizer on it. I would also go with manual batties to start. you could go with the puresmoker and buy a passthrough and pcc later also. I started with a basic kit and added to it. just remember prefilled cartos don’t usually taste a good or last as long as you think they will ... order back up juice to refill. good luck.

I did have an ace (gave it to one of my friends.) and it was good for me. What i liked about it was the size and the option for me to change flavors quickly if i wanted to. The battery life was pretty good (lasted me about 4 to 6 hours) but i would suggest getting some extra batteries and a PCC. Also i would suggest getting some blank cartos and some juice and filling them yourself. Oh and one more thing that i found out that may help a 901 atty will work on an ace so i would also suggest getting one of those to test out juices to see if u will like them before filling up a carto. But this is just my opinion and i hope it helps.
