If a higher quality vivi nova was created with air control would you pay 40 bucks for it?

I'm not sure what habits or needs are common among the majority of vapors but for myself I enjoy using my higher end stuff while relaxing at home. I use my DID (and genesis type stuff) as well as my ithaka, odysseus at home or while on my time ie driving around going out etc.
While at work (refuse driver) I like to take something that vapes pretty good and is mostly reliable but that wont break the bank if it gets stolen. My personal items (work bag) has been stolen from my work truck twice in 8 years (tweekers in downtown portland).
I have been using the vivi novas at work and rebuilding them for my specific needs and they are okay but are really inconsistent. Air flow gets clogged etc.
I would personally pay 40-45 bucks for a well made vivi nova with some sort of air control. I dont mind tipping/tilting or the little bit of hot legs from the design but it would be nice to have something more consistent. It is possible I will try a terminator but I'm not sure how I feel about it.
If a higher quality vivi nova was created with air control better threading and metal would you pay 40 bucks for it?
Anyone have any suggestions? maybe what I'm looking for for work already exists in a different form?

I had tight draws from my Vivi Novas. What I did was to bore out one of the air holes to allow more air in it. It might get too airy for you but it works for me.

Would I buy a $40 Vivi Nova? Nope.

Would you pay 200$ for it if so hop on over to clouds of vapor and pre order you an Ithaka Its basicly an upgraded ODY from what I can see from the Videos. The ODY is a great atty so this should be even better. This is a RBA so no dump and vape.
I would not take a Nova if someone gave it to me. But thats just me lots of people like them. The China trends follow the quality stuff there's been a couple air flo atty released lately so I imagine there will be Novas or Kangers with adj airflo will be on the way soon enough.

Yeah you can drill the air hole, drill out the metal cap that the coils/wick rest in where the wick lies so that the wick is futher down the device a bit, and I've personally rebuilt mine with hemp and they work fantastic. Consistent and only get dry hits when below a quarter tank. I have an AGAT2, a protank, and my novas, and the novas are the guys who see the most use out of me. The protank gives me alot of dry hits, like every 4th draw or so. I will experiment with removing one of the flavor wicks and eventually rebuild it with hemp altogether.

I think the Terminator would be a great step up. Its a copy of the Odysseus V1. I was using Vivi Novas and was thinking many of the same things. The Term is easier to rebuild than a VN. No need for swishing, or tiling, no juice darkening etc. The Term is well built, and if you lose it or it get stolen, wont "hurt" as bad.

It does have a few little quirks as the original Ody 1 had, but if you go to the Term thread in the rebuildable forum you will find the "fixes". I had no problems with my Term but a few have light leaking, but there are simple fixes that are either 0-ring changes or wire placements.

The term costs about 50-60 or you can get a clone of the Term called the Cody? its about 25.00 that people have had good results with also.

Thanks for the comments.. I cant take genesis style to work for various reasons and I am unwilling to take the ithaka or ody to work. Maybe I will just grab a terminator as i suppose if it gets nabbed its not the end of the world.
As far as the air holes for the vivi .. thats a great idea in fact I already do that and it works great for awhile.. Its the center post air conduit that seems to get clogged up or otherwise perform inconsistent between two different set ups on the same pv.
Just wondering if there was a market for a better vivi...
Thanks for the comments!

It would be nice to have a semi throw away with air control.. Indeed its nothing like ithaka etc but that is kinda my point. It would be pretty cool if the china stuff started using the air control on a few things. thanks for the response

Not a big fan of Vivi myself, but there's a definite lack of mid-range quality gear. You can either by crap for cheap or something hand-made for $120+.

Seems the Kanger pro tank is quite popular. Then there's the upcoming Smoktech Pyrex DCT. Hopefully we'll see more mid-range stuff soon. I'm having a hard time recommending gear to people who want something proper without going broke. I can't recommend any clearo I've tried so far, and I've tried a lot. Drippers and RBAs it is... for now.
