Nah, it's been around for 100s of years. They did the pact act which taxes it like cigarettes. It's been studied to death. American dip is available all over. Snus is better imo.

Agreed. I never quit with swedish snus, the cost and ordering was just too much of a pain compared to going down to the bodega and buying a pack of smokes or can of dip, but now that I'm already off cigarettes and chew, I would have an easier time adjusting.
We can always put nic juice on our thumbs and revert back to childhood.....
