Tribute to Phil, Grimm, and Todd (another thank you thread)

Arnie H, I think it's great what you've done here, paying your respects to these guys. They all take time out of their day to try and help all of us out. They provide us with entertaining videos, save us money, tips/tricks, and much much more. I am sure that combined, they have hundreds of hours of reviews which is really amazing.

I'd have to say Phil is my favorite and more entertaining, and has absolutely no issues with people sending him private messages asking for help or general questions. Really great genuine guy. Hope to meet him at the upcoming ECC in Anaheim California!

Anyone remember that creepy show back in the 70s or 80s called Mr. Wizard? I'd like to have a phil busardo kinda personality do videos involving cooking up juices (as in Do It Yourself instructional) with aprons, beakers, the whole spread.

I learned how to wrap a coil by some guy on YouTube that didn't use fancy editing in his videos. He did however know what he was doing.

So you did learn something from a video reviewer.

Arnie, is there any sort of webby award for best eliquid video reviewer? Maybe there should be. I elect Vaporchase.

Not that I know of. e-liquid is difficult because everybody's tastes are different. Will check out Vaporchase. Some people though have similiar tastes.

My son is 4 and autistic and he can build a coil better than Grimmgreen.

They work for him - I'm sure he doesn't mind that they aren't up to your standards.

Grimgreen is entertaining and his straight reviews aren't bad. He is a personality that gets 'paid' to make videos and be entertaining doing it. He does that well. If you do something that anyone says without further research, well... you reap what you sow. JMHO.

I completely agree about doing something that anyone says without further research.

I don't want to come off as a GrimmGreen fanboy, but have you ever noticed that he's one of the only reviewers mentioned to not have ads on his vids? Grimm isn't in it for the money or the free stuff - his personality gets him subscribers and companies take note of that. I don't believe it was ever his intent to get 'paid' for youtube reviews - he's just a guy who's passionate about vaping and wants to share his knowledge and experience with others.

Scott introduced me to the Vamo then Phil gave a detailed break down which convinced me it might be a good first VV/VW mod but when Grimm's Vamo talked I just had to have one.

Kudos to all the reviewers taking time to make these reviews and even to answer emails I've sent when I'm sure their overloaded with email requests.

I did enjoy the response I got from Todd, when I sent him the link. It was honest and humble. To paraphrase:

He thanks his viewers, but seemed a little surpised that his videos may have actually helped anyone, declaring that he was just "an idiot Scotsman".

I like a person who doesn't take themselves (or life) too seriously. The fact that he seems unable to make it through a video without laughing is proof of this. I also like his accent.

Here is the first video I have seen by Scott (igetcha69) GOLD PLATING A PROVARI ELECTRONIC CIGARETTE TUTORIAL - YouTube And I have been subscribed to him ever since.

I also love Phil and his pink-mod friend, Dimitri! I dig Nick (Grimmgreen) but I don't listen to him as much as Phil, he's just "cool" to me. Lastly, Todd. All I'll say about him is that I do not watch his videos but I do respect him for his contributions.

ETA: Other shoutouts go to JC West, he's cool to me like Grimm is.

I have just spotted this thread and would like to add my own big thanks to all the reviewers mentioned here, they put a huge amount of hard work and time into the reviews and that information is invaluable.

Would also like to add a special thanks to Todd, he is my go to reviewer whenever things don't work, go off the rails or just want to look at some new new kit. Very informative.
