If I can go four more days without buying anything, April will be the first month since I started vaping last September that I will have spent less on vaping than I would have on cigarettes. I think I'm about to turn the corner to saving money! Now...if...I...can...just...control...myself... (and if my favorite vendors would just STOP with the darn sales!)

Good for you, I feel bad for the people who must collect everything and spend thousands of dollars on mods and attys alone. We Ex smokers are prone to addictions of all kinds. I guess if you have the money, you can do what you like with it. However, I know for a fact a lot of people hoarding mods and such are not in a position financially to do so. This happened to me a few years ago when I started. I had to have every new mod. Got a debt I still haven't paid off. I encourage everyone to put funds in a savings account every month and only buy what you NEED. I know that is hard in this industry, but it is for the best.

I had 9 mods at one time, now I have four which is still more than I really need. Most of the devices I owned were very similar and there was no point in owning more than one. Now I got a couple things that will never break and I am really happy with. I will not buy another mod ever again. Staying off the analogs is ALL that matters. A simple ego could do that if you are satisfied with it. There is no way vaping should cost more than smoking, people just get caught up in a shopping frenzy. I was there at one point, but now I realize how silly I was being.

I have done the math and I have went over 6 weeks without buying anything. My last order was 60 dollars and if I had still been smoking I would have spent over 200 dollars over the same time. I do put back 5 dollars a week for when I need new batteries or maybe a treat of a new toy that just came out.

Starting out I broke even. I was spending $6-7 on a cigar anywhere from once a week to twice a month. On top of that was hookah about every other week, with my personal hookah 3-4 times a week. I bought a eGo-T atty and eGo passthrough battery at first, and spent money on juice. That was good until last month when I really got bit by the bug and bought 2 RBA's, a mod, batteries, juice, and charger. Just traded my mod for stufc I wanted, and have 2 eGo batteries on the way and buying a cheap mechanical. So, recouping and saving this month. It gets hard though!

:) I'm nowhere near breaking even, yet, but I'm OK with that. I'm enjoying being a vaper so much more than a smoker. I feel better, I smell better, and I have this fun new hobby! :vapor: I certainly haven't spent any money that I regret or can't afford, but it would be nice to spend a LITTLE less...

Exactly!! Your health and well-being is far more valuable ... of course, saving a little money along the way is a great motivator also!

Btw, love your avatar pic! I used to have a cat that looked a lot like that ... named her 'Spooky' :)

Wow...well, I've made it a point to be frugal, to not buy into the equipment mania. We used to spend about $260 a month on cigarettes. The most I've spent in a month on vaping has been about $120, that was last month when I decided to stock up on spare heads, attys, cartos, etc. I just went out today and spent $45 on juice. I think that'll do us for the month, except I do need a new 510 battery. If you want it to be, this can be a lot cheaper than smoking. If you can afford all the bells and whistles, God bless.

I pretty much bought a new PC from the money I saved by vaping. I get the feeling smokers in general aren't good with money, do we urge to spend? At least we're good consumers. I'm urging to get a small mech to get a more compact and slick setup for my IGO-L, screwing it on an EGO doesn't really feel right.
I did go for a long while without investigating further into e-cigs, had no idea what was out there. I can understand wanting shiny premium devices, but I like to keep my number of tools and devices down to those I actually use.
