If steeping is so good then....

Most bricks and mortar stores will make up your e-liquid on site to your specifications. some people like more PG than VG in their mix. couple that with different strengths of nicotine and all the different flavours available and pre-steeping would prove to be unworkable for the business involved. So the answer to your question is all in post #2

I mix my own juices. I have found that the flavor can change greatly in less than a week. Depending on the flavors, in a month it can change so much it doesn't seem like the same juice. When you order a juice it takes at least 2 or 3 days before you get it in the mail....a freshly mixed batch is already half steeped by the time you receive it. Look at it as if it were bananas at the grocery store. They are some what green when you buy them because you aren't going to eat them all in one day.

You don't eat all your bananas at once? haha

I get that there are a lot of options, it just seems like it would be a good marketing idea to offer some of the more popular blend/concentration/flavor combinations in "Aged" variety. Possibly in accompaniment with some research into which benefit most from it and optimal lengths of time.

I think most small vendors are just doing all they can to get things made and get it out the door and most other juice makers liquid is already steeped pretty much by the time it takes to get to the end user. COV though does on occasion steep some of it's COV4 RY4, then sells it for 5 bucks more than the regular for 30mls. CloudPure Juice

Unless you know the juice making schedule of your vendor, you don't really know how old the juice is when you order it. I order off the shelf juices pretty much all the time. Some make their own and others get their juice from another supplier. Some also carry China origin juice. If it's a vendor who lets you pick the ratio from 0/100 to 100/0 mix its probably made to order.

If it's good out of the mailbox, I vape it. If not, I let it sit for a week and try it again.

Pre-mixed juices off the shelf are made in large batches and don't need steeping.

Custom-mixed juices are not made until the day you order them. This generally allows more options according to your own preferences: pg/vg ratio, flavor boosts, more options in quantity, and often options to the type of bottle/dropper/cap you prefer.

Having all options available already pre-mixed and steeped presents an unreasonable demand on inventory and storage space for most e-liquid vendors, especially if they offer scores of flavors to choose from.

My Ahlusions don't have a "born date", but do have a "best by" date.

Ben Johnsons Awesome Sauce has "sell by" date.

Juices I have with a "born date":

~ Backwoods Brew

~ Nicoticket

~ Five Pawns

~ Nite Lite Vapor

Other companies:

Alien Visions - no.

Good life - no.

Suicide Bunny - no.

Juice Ray - no.

That's all I got except B&M juice. And the only B&M juice I've got that is comparable to any of the above online stores is Artisan Vapor, in Plano, Texas. And no, they don't have a born date! They do however have a batch #.

best regards, larry mac

Steeping can change the juice flavor significantly in some flavors and very little in others. Most of the juices i vape regularly are great with no steeping at all. While others i have steeped for a month. Change is, however, not always good. For instance, i recently dumped two tanks (Protanks) of juice that had sit for approx a month. Both had dull chemical flavor far from what they were originally.
As DaveP said try it initially, I use a drip atomizer to sample new juice. If it's good i fill up a tank and vape it if not i give it a few days and sample it again.

Good Luck

Kinged8th:"It so hard to let a new juice you just got sit for a week without trying it. I usually dive in and let the bottle steep from then on."

Yep. This is especially true of FuZion vapor juices. My supplier here in the u.k is always out of stock or the juice is stuck in customs. So by the time i actually get the juice that i need I'm just too damn impatient to let the stuff steep for longer than it takes to rip open the mail packet!!!
