With everything that is going on around e-cigarettes on legislation level right now, there is no way we can continue thinking that everything will work itself out and we have a god given guarantee to vape happily ever after, because it’s far from real situation. vaping in public is threatened by authorities all over the US and CASAA can’t save us alone. They need us to involve and we need to involve. We need to unite, awaken and educate current smokers about the better choice YOU have already made and they can make by switching over to e-cigs.

And if there was a fun way for You to take take part and do all that, a new social web site that would be uniting vapers, reaching out to current smokers - educating, involving them and sharing information in a whole new way, do you think You would be interested in joining in and putting a little effort into educating other people? For a better future for all of us?

Give us your thoughts, we appreciate them soooooo much:)

gaining attention is a lot better then hiding in the shadows like a druggy does,,,

those making the rules already know the truth but, will play on the public's ignorance of vapin to get the public behind them to get what they want,,Hilter proved that !!!

all the while we will be hiding the shadows with the druggys..not me

I think that we'd all like to help but gaining attention may be a double edged sword. What are your suggestions?

well, I think opposers have had a lot of success misleading the public, which has lead to indoor bans in several states already and they continue doing everything they can to wipe e-cigarettes out of the market, be it for whatever reasons they may have. I think all there is left to do for us is everything we can do and should do, to get the truth out and educate the public.

What we have in mind is creating a social web for vapers, that makes it more easier, exciting and fun to unite, share and educate. Something that vapers would want to take part of, to get as many people on board with us as possible. We are hoping to introduce the new web in a month and we are moving forward as fast as we can right now.

Hey its a good idea. Numbers are the hardest thing to fight. It would take a lot of media exposure though to fight the misinformation out there. Are you talking globally uniting?

Yeah, eventually, but we don't have enough resources to do this right a way. Global coverage takes bit more work.

I believe firmly in the right to vape. It's a healthier alternative to analogs. I also believe that when our presence becomes undeniable the Federal Government will regulate and ruin our businesses. Hoping that I'm wrong. I believe people can have their voices heard through CASAA which is prominent here on the ECF.

By gobally uniting I mean a website that is for vapers of all countries as opposed to one that is local.
Yes when they can't deny us the government will try to take over and regulate BUT they are trying that anyway right now. So becoming a voice that is heard isn't gonna change things other than we won't go down without a fight. Or maybe we might get enough attention that we will win. The public has had enough of government messing with the average joe, if they knew how beneficial pvs are and that the gov is trying to crush the little guy I don't think they would be happy. Let's face it somewhere the gov is gonna get its piece of the pie but its up to us to make sure its not so much that the smaller pvs shops have to close. We have to educate the public, debate the experts and publish our factual opinions. We have to do this in a way that is not confrontational or judgemental of the average person. Remember the one thing politicians fear is loosing thier power, they do this by loosing votes, public opinion does matter.
....climbing down off my soap box and offering it to others.......

Well, there's the point. Our presence is already undeniable. They know it and they try to get what's best for them, not what's best for people. Last piece of statistics I saw, stated that there are around 2,5m vapers already and the number of vapers quadrupled between 2009-2010.
So, even if we try to be as invisible as possible, a good solution like e-cigs are, will undoubtedly continue reaching out to more and more smokers, so in my opinion there is no other way, than to stand up and make our presence visible.

Couldn't agree more!
