I am not strictly vaping but feel the urge to still post :). I am still smoking but started out vaping and went from 2 PAD after 20 years to 15 the day I started vaping in March this year. Now I am down to 5 cigs and to be honest I really don't even want those. I did not out any expectations on myself time wise, only that I WOULD quit. So hoping by next month to be free of the stinkies forever.

As for changes/pros gosh, a many....where do I start!
Let me count the ways :)
I was diagnosed with aorta stenosis as well as having a bicuspid aorta (causing the stenosis). Genetics BUT gave me the kick in the ... I needed to quit. I was starting to have trouble breathing and chest pains....hence the appt I ended up making which led me to a cardiologist.
I breathe so much better and rarely ever wheeze which I was doing with almost every breath before. I have not had to use my inhaler since I started vaping in March and that is saying something. I hardly ever cough anymore, I smell better and my senses are coming around. No more chest pains, or hacking up phlem. now when i hear someone do it, i cringe thinking....that was me just a few months ago!! Wish I knew more about vaping years ago....
Most importantly I m hoping it is adding onto the life me and partner will spend together. Will be 21 years in June and hope to have many, many more. It is certainly promising now :)
There are so many positive things that have come from me switching over to vaping but those are some on the to of my list. I have no doubts that by next month this time I will be totally cigarette free and vaping only.

Cons
I have an additive behavior and like bells and whistles.....you see where this is going :). Overall though I still spend less than I did on cigarettes!! Even if I didn't I would do it all over again without hesitation. Knowing what i know now, There are just no other options I would give myself.

This kinda stuff is encourageing, I was urged by friends to quit. My body was starting to tell me it was time.
Last week I asked a friend who started vaping. I saw him with the blu cig, then he picked up a vape machine.
I asked him last week what he started using; he told me he went to the Vape Store and got the ego-C upgrade.
I got one last week started vaping. Was still smoking, but made myself cut back because of the investment.
I was gonna wait til the end of this month to go all vape but I said shine it and started vaping full time last Sat.
I sometimes get mild urges to light up but not much. So just pushing through.
I am loving all these testimonials its very encouraging. I am waiting for my two silver ego-c batts to come
in the mail and I am going to call the store to see if they got their silver 1000 mah pasthroughs in yet.
I have vowed to always have what it takes to vape.

I had not smoked at all for 6 months or so when I picked up vaping, so I already had massive improvements in my physical health from not smoking to begin with. I was worried I would feel worse after vaping, but I continue to feel great. My energy levels are up, and the gym is still my favorite place to be. Im actually happier vaping as I was moody before from not smoking at all. I do have to drink more water, since vaping dehydrates you, but more water never hurt anyone, right?

I dont know if this happens to all smokers, but I remember my first cigarette of the day instantly making me feel drained and it zapped my energy. I dont get that at all with vaping, it actually perks me up like a strong cup of coffee would.

Been vaping about 6 weeks and can noticably feel my breathing is easier and I am much more active in work and play.

I was told I have COPD on my last chest xray and am hoping to see that reduced on my next one.

There is some hope read through it.......................

A week after quitting analogs and starting to vape, I went for a run.
Now, I ran when I used to smoke a pack-a-day, but it wasn't necessarily easy, I just pushed through it.
After only a week of only vaping, I ran farther than planned. Needless to say, after almost 90 days now, running is even easier.

Used to be very active in all sports. Offered scholarships from a few universities and colleges. It absolutely killed me to not be active as my lungs weren't up to the task. Can now swim 5 miles in the Bay. Last Summer hauled 100+ wheelbarrows of topsoil uphill about 100' and spread it. Took about 6 hrs and told my wife if I had been smoking would've been a 2 day task. Helped a bunch of friends 20? yrs younger build an addition and they waere amazed at my energy and output. Actually 2 of them were smokers and have since begun vaping because they had witnessed the change in me.
Prolly the biggest and most important change is how I now, once again, value my health. Go for walks all the time, play in some Summer Senior's Leagues, teach kids Kendo. Vaping has changed my life beyond quitting smoking as it has prompted me to re evaluate my lifestyle completely. Just so much more energy overall.

In addition to all the immediate and longer term health benefits already mentioned: There's also been a great change in Social benefits too. I no longer have the tobacco smell following me around that my family, friends and coworkers smell. This is huge, and I've realized how bothersome that can be to other people. I like(d) smoking so much that I didn't care if people smelled it all over me, especially right after having a smoke... but I do mind that now!
