Just to clarify, the 4,000 or so chemicals (many of which are indeed deadly or at least scary-sounding) are not "added" to tobacco cigarettes; rather they are chemicals either already in or the by-products of the combustion of leaf tobacco. That's why snus is sooooooooo much less "risky" than smoked tobacco.
Just sayin.![]()
True, smokeless tobacco like Snus is as much as 98% safer than smoking, and organic American Spirit is somewhat better, it's the combustion, tar and the burning that produces most the chemicals and damage. But cigarette manufacturers don't get off that easy, oh - it's a dirty story indeed! Ammonia, acetone, arsenic, cadmium, formaldehyde and other chemicals are added to the mix, almost as if to make it even more dangerous. Fertilizing tobacco fields with modern chemical fertilizers adds to the radioactivity present on tobacco leaves - (which poorer countires can't afford to do), making US tobacco 6 times more cancerous because of the phosphate used on the soil.
They got the devil in their hearts. Compared to the 3 ingredients in e-liquid, banning ecigs really seems insane to an informed person.
