If we had an awareness color, what would it be?

I was thinking about a project this morning. I'm not going to tell you what it is yet in case it doesn't fly, but it could possibly include a color, one that we could use for awareness. We all know that many causes have a ribbon color, so many so that some colors are used for several different groups. With that idea in mind, what color would you choose for vaping awareness? Would it be a color is already in use, one not often used, or one that is unique?

I personally thought that confederate blue (grayish blue) might be appropriate. A confederacy is defined as;

  1. people, groups, nations, or states united for some common purpose
  2. a league or alliance formed by such a union; federation or confederation
American history aside, we are definitely a group of people from both different nations and different states united for a common cause. Confederacy is also described as a group of people who have united for unlawful practices. Since some countries have already banned e-cigs, and the U.S. may well be headed that direction, eventually we just may be united for an unlawful practice.

So what does everyone else think? What color is our cause?

I think that the confederate blue/grey is appropriate...

But what about Green? After all.... you cant be much more greener with an E-Cigarette.

I thought about that too, but soooo many causes use green. There are over 40 for true green alone and then several for lime green. Maybe turquoise would be a possibility, since it's a combination of blue and green?

I love your idea of the Confederate Blue/Grey! Perfect in my opinion :)

Thanks Bella. :) I thought I would get see what choices popped up here and then do a poll to narrow it down. Very interested to see what the community would choose as a whole.

Black and white, the color of the first ecigs, as well as the clarity of our argument. The confederacy thing could end up looking a bit like ash.

I was thinking the first e-cigs were cigarette colored. :)

Now that you mention it though, some causes use two colors, probably because so many singles have been taken. This could be an option, which could add blue and green to the choices as well.

CASAA's colors are blue, green (olive) and black so there's always that.

Anti-tobacco is brown, but since our nic is made from tobacco I can't see that one.

I like the blue grey maybe also with a bit of white for vapor ('clean vapor') - I'm thinking of the jamaican flag colors where everything stands for something - so thats why I said 2 colors.

I like this Jay, confederate blue for the fact that we are united, white for the vapor... very nice.

Honestly I'd say none at all...the awareness ribbons are so cliche now that they've lost all meaning..
And just about every single color has multiple causes...and that totally loses the effect

personally, the awareness ribbon thing has becone so overdone that I just see them now as being douchey....heck they've even been turned into joke bumperstickers (support strippers is the first joke one that comes to mind)
