I am real tired of the behavior of some of the so called "artisan" juice vendors.

If you can't answer an email for 3 days when I have a question as I am on the verge of placing an order, I will just go someplace else.

I have to say that I tried the same thing with some of the non artisan juice vendors, and have always received a response, sometimes w/in a few hours, but always w/in 12-24.

I guess some of these people think they are too good to deal with the customers if it doesn't involve a credit card being put thru. ??

Anyway, will be changing my ordering patterns quite majorly soon. My new plan is that I ask a question, if it gets answered w/in 24 hours, then you get my order.

If not, hasta la vista. :) The competition is fierce, there are new eliquid makers starting up weekly.....today's "darling" can become a "has been" very quickly, i guess they do not realize that.

ah its a double edged sword. do I want a fast response? sure.

but do I want some really good juice fast? sure.

some places might not have a huge staff, or they might be swamped with orders and just cant get to the computer to read mail and look over things.

I notice that some places close up for the weekend for family time. That just means I need to get my order in and be patient and it will get here...when it gets here.

You can't fake good or at least decent customer service, but maybe some places are also victims of their own success and are working their asses off to keep up...no telling, really. The interwebs are a strange place.

I placed one particular order through a vendor, realized I had made a mistake, emailed them, and got a quick reply assuring me the order would be corrected. I was highly impressed. Then when the juice arrived, it was horrid and I'm quite sure they completely ignored my order correction. So me doubts being able to answer an email promptly has anything to do with how good the juice is.

Kind of the same thing with my pawn shop...I have 5 guys who work for me, typically 2 during the day and 1 during the night. We have 50+ items listed on ebay/craigslist at any given time, and we also sell firearms via internet as well. I have 1 guy who does all ebay stuff, and I do all the firearm stuff. If my ebay guy gets sick and has a day off, it can get hectic around here when 13 different items end on a Friday, 13 different people pay for those items, and now either myself or someone else has to try to play damage control while my ebay guy is blowing chunks on his bathroom floor. Things happen, and it's understandable. But 3 business days seems like more than enough time to respond to a message. I often find myself answering questions at 1 oclock in the morning about firearms, and people respond back with some kind of "... are you responding back for, you should be asleep" lol. Sometimes you have to make sacrifices if you want your business to thrive. In this day and age as stated above there are hundreds of other Joes trying to make a buck off the same thing you're selling, and if they respond and you don't, you could miss out on dinner that night. Such is life...

It is your money so yes please feel free to only support the larger opeations.

Many of the artisan (?) vendors are part time one or two person operations. If one has a good day job and blends and sells ejuice as a side line and develops a following whatdo they do? Give up a real steady good payingjob with benefits and hope FDA dos not shut down theier new sideline business or just deal with backorders, endless email questions and piss off a few mybe customers?

Some small vendors also attend trde shows which perhaps take them a week packing, traveling, setting up ,showing, taking orders and answring questions, tearing down, traveling back home ,etc..

With so much FDA uncertainty hanging over their heads I would expect that most of the smaller, popular juice vendors aren't in a financial position to expand their operations to meet demand. If they are not able to respond to customer inquiries within three days they may well not be in a good position to take on any new customers.

I'm envious of those who can find juices they like from larger operations. My batting average with using them has been far too abysmal to bother with any further ventures down that path.
