All that is going on with the fda and ecigs has had me thinking about just that. Honestly, I cant stand being near anyone who is or has smoked, so I am pretty determined that if I could no longer vape, it would be time to give it up altogether.

I watched my now 7 year old show signs of being a smoker (at the time we were having problems with his school and he was spending almost nonstop time with me). I didnt realize it until I finally switched to vaping in august, but it was a wake up call to notice how his lung health improved when we quit. I am determined that if vaping becomes no longer an option, going back to analogs is not an option either.

As a newbie to vaping (started today thanks to ups) I wanted to lessen the damage to my lungs...cancer, tar..etc. From pneumonia I lost 1/3 of my right lung. My father had his entire right lung removed due to a grapefruit sized cancer. That's my DNA. I have been vaping today and can see how easily it replaces regular cigs.

That said I'd probably go back to traditional smoking if I didn't have this choice. I had a 20+ year habit smoking....quit for 9 years...thought I could have a cigar which led me right back to camel cigs over the last 5 months.

I thank god for e-vaping...I am truly enjoying the use of my V-Mod.

Its great that you would rather go without BUT would you REALLY be able to resist going back to smoking ?

No I wouldn't start smoking again in the near future if I could no longer vape. I've lost my addiction to nicotine so I don't need a cigarette to feed a nicotine addiction. The problem for me is IF vaping was not an option and anything should ever happen that made me want to smoke again in my lifetime I cant give the word "NEVER" to the question of if I would smoke or not again in my lifetime. As long as vaping is an option should I feel a desire to smoke, I can say without doubt I will never smoke again.

The only think that could not be bought easily would be the nicotine juice itself...no way to ban everything else. If the nicotine was made unavailable I would learn to extract my own from tobacco leaves, it isn't that difficult a process. I suppose I would have to grow my own and that also is not that difficult.

I'd probably learn to extract my own nicotine from pipe tobacco. I can fully rebuild an Echomizer if I need to, I just need some practice making coils.

Between now and the end of April, i plan to have 1400 ml of juice and over 40 cartomizers. With care and rotation, 1 cartomizer will last me about a month before needing a complete rebuild.

I can "hope" that I wont go back to smoking but absent my replacement who can say? The FDA needs to think about the damage they could potentially do to the thousands who've given up analogs in favor of electronic cigarettes.

Any action that has the ability to influence a hundred thousand people to go back to using something that they know is terrible for them is evil. Plain and simple.

Being tobacco-free for going on 7 months, I'd like to think I would chew gum or eat Altoids like there's no tomorrow...knowing I have weak willpower, I may be tempted to go back to smoking. I hope I remember how yucky I felt the last 3 times I smoked a real cigarette since I started vaping and decide to tough it out, smokeless. Hopefully, a vaping buddy would clue me in on the underground and I could keep vaping away in my hermit hole!!

I've been smoke free for over 2 years now and can't imagine going back to cigarettes.. if I couldn't get nic to make my juice then I plan to just vape my juice without the nic and wear a nic patch if I have to. Vaping has become such a major part of my life. I won't go back to smoking.

Please..everyone sign the petition linked at the top of the page! It's easier and quicker than building a new coil ;)

yeah, i would probably crack, although i really would love to think i wouldn't. what i'm doing now is stocking up on my favorite juices and cartos, learning as much as i can about rba's, and reading up on making my own e-liquid. between now and the next 4 months, i hope to be self-sufficient. there's this new thing that just came out called novus-it's like plant extracts and stuff, shaped like a cig. you draw on it, and it gives you a throat hit. no nicotine or anything...not sure what it is. the website says it's all natural, and it's supposed to give you a "kick" like nic. i got a few samples of it...not sure how i feel about it yet. anybody know about this stuff?

I'm not really talking about a situation where e-cigs are banned (if there's any way to get my hands on them, or build them myself, I will!), but rather, if you woke up tomorrow in an alternate universe or something where vaping wasn't even a thing, would you smoke? Knowing how much better I feel and how much more energy I have, there's no way I could go back to that nastiness. (I'll sometimes watch anti-smoking videos on YouTube - some real nasty ones - to keep me motivated!)
