Well, *now* if I couldn't vape anymore... I don't think I could handle 6-7 ultralights an hour, so I imagine one of the sheds would become the tobacco farm. Either that, or I'd have to try snus or something. Man, actually, the range of options has come SO FAR, really now that I think about it. I guess I'd try to live. :)

But just in case, I'd have my husband remove the working parts of any theoretical guns around the house and bury them in the yard, during a time when I could not see him. So that I didn't tour all our local businesses saying, "Give me all the cigarettes you have.... No, I see some below down there, get them." I.am.kidding.

But, it will be interesting to see if smokers start stockpiling themselves. I wouldn't necessarily be surprised, actually. I may ask my friendly neighborhood gas station employee about it. :)

You still know the people who work at the local gas station?

Oh, wait, your join date is not too long ago so I guess you just recently quit smoking.
Now it makes sense.

Thanks.....on the surface it just seemed like a basic question but really gets into just how bad addiction really is

Don't bang yourself over the head about it, like was stated, the question was an enlightening one, made me think real hard as to the what if situation. It's been a very interesting discussion that has spawned from it, one of the many types of threads I like reading and/or being involved in. A great mentor of mine when younger told me a very powerful saying/piece of advice that holds so true, and very well applies here. Life is a large puzzle/tapestry full of daily riddles to answer, when the maker/creator feels we are ready for the answers to those riddles, the answer comes from within when you contemplate properly, one answer from one riddle leads to the next riddle question; or in other words, step back, contemplate, and think about the day you just had to understand your victories and defeats during the day.

The OP was one of those such riddles I seriously had to step back and think long and hard about as to the "what if...", based on my own knowledge of myself.

I know them only because I go in there all the time for like milk, beverages, random stuff. The only cigarettes I have bought from there was my week of dual using, LOL. We live kinda way far south/west of Tucson, it's actually pretty rural. When I was smoking, we had loose tobacco (American Spirits) tubes and an injector machine. If anything, that worsened my smoking as it was so much less expensive... :)

Yes, this question really makes you think. Hard.

If I couldn't vape anymore...
I'd vape anyway.

Yup, it's really impossible to stop us from vaping. Take any power supply that puts out the power wanted, PG and VG are not going anywhere, flavors can be made at home if needed, and add a simple dripper. And if you want really simple, anyone remember Raidy's tea-light mod :)

I would do whatever I could to try and get vaping again, mix my own or something, but if that was impossible it would only be a matter of time before I started smoking again.
I started vaping about three months ago, I've been off cigarettes about a month and a half. I have no willpower at all and I didn't need any because vaping suits me just as much as a smoke. So without vaping I will just become a smoker again. I might hold out a day or two.

If I couldn't vape any more for some unknown reason, I would not return to smoking, but neither would I abandon nicotine. There are a couple of non-big-pharma no-tobacco products now. As an example: There's a Swedish company that makes a sodium nicotine extract product. I've tried it and it's good enough to keep me sane during air travel and around govt buildings where vaping is prohibited.

Curious to know, if you suddenly couldn't vape no more for whatever reasons, hypothetically of course, would you go back to smoking? Also want to know how long you have been vaping ? Just curious how many, like myself, get to a point where they know whole heartedly they definitely would never smoke again and curious if it has to do with time vaping?

Well, after a year of vaping when I tried to quit vaping I did go back to smoking. Here recently when I tried to quit vaping for the second time I neither smoked nor vaped for 5 months before having an urge to vape that I caved in to..

Here is the thing, I'd LIKE to say I'd quit vaping... but I'm also sitting here stocking up just in case its a worst case fda scenario and I either can't, or find myself wanting to go back to it later.

Some people go back to smoking after 6 years or more without a cigarette.. you just never know until your in the thick of it really what you would do, or at what time you may find yourself doing it.

So all I can say is I would put my best foot forward in making a full quit. I can't promise I would never at some point find myself smoking again though.

Ps. Initially quit smoking three years ago.

I know that they won't be able to stop it, but I was just trying to get an answer, hypothetically, if every aspect of vaping just disappeared and there was no way of doing it...
