I have taken them off sale. And, I have just received confirmation from my factory in China.

It was fake tenergys this time but there's no guarantee that someone won't counterfeit aw imr's next. Does anyone know a good way to verify the authenticity of a battery I wonder?

Performance is a good indicator .... If someone slipped a POS in an AW Jacket I would know on the first three hits off it

The nice thing is AW IMR are the shortest batt in their class .... It would be easy to make a fake longer to match .....
But I don't think Rob has finished designing the shrinking ray ... Yet.

I think even a non-protected (or protected with the circuit removed) is still a touch longer than a true AW IMR

But the lengths people go to create counterfeit goods is amazing ... Almost every product out there that cost more than a buck has a counterfeit counterpart ..(say that three times fast)

So they could try almost anything ... starting from scratch to match the size I guess.
Or taking a 14500 and building it up with paper and fly dung and putting it an RED AW 18650 wrapper

Since there are no other places for vendor's to get the "real AW's" from besides Andrew... Let's hope the vendor's know this as well... I know for sure the 3 vendor's that I have bought AW from in the past all get their's direct from the man himself... Since they get "bulk discounts" from Andrew a couple sale them for less than AW charges direct for "retail" pricing..
