if you were to start all over again with $300, what will you get?

I have to go right along with tj99959 . I would spend that $300 dollars on just what I have spend it on so far and spend the bit left over on my next wishlist purchase. I learned a great deal from fellow vapers, videos and blogs, the forum and even vendors and retailers but there were just something I had to learn/try myself to know what worked for me and what I wanted or needed or did not want or need.

Part of making the same trip is that I had fun doing it every step of the way (although I sure I am not done) and no reason to do without all that fun. I think the trail I traveled actually helped in supportive way to keep me from looking back at analogs or even being tempted to look back.

I can't even say I would at least save money by not buying those things that sit now unused, disliked or unwanted (very few of those thankfully) because each one had a value of teaching me something about likes and dislikes and took me forward on this path.

I am just using a volt battery (the longer one), with a KR808D-M3 Clearomizer 1ml 1.8-2.3 ohm. Or sometimes I use a shorter, Innokin Tidy Clearomizer 2.3-2.7ohm (also in 808 thread obviously).

This combo seems to give a pretty good vape, particularly the kanger nano clearo, its pretty decent in terms of flavour, vapour production and throat hit.

After I figured out a battery and carto/clearo combination that worked for me (yeah cartos I tried a few of, and just not as good at all for me), alot of what I tinkered with was the juice. I like a 21-24mg nicotine content, with some WTA in there. At that nic level, the throat hit can be too much, if the PG level is too high. So I settled around a 50/50 PG/VG mix, but it took me a while to get there.

The other thing that I played with a lot are the flavours. Initially, I was stuck on tobaccos. Which are still good, and I am not a super sweet tooth, and aren't hugely into the idea of pure food vapes. What I mostly vape now, is comparable to sisha flavours. Tobacco and fruit mainly. Blueberry is my current fav. I also really clicked with the organic flavours. They really are superior taste wise. So everything vape now has some organic fruit, chocolate, caramel, vanilla, coffee, or something in it, along with the tobacco, wta base.

Don't miss out on the organic experience, there's a few vendors now, and all the organics ive tried are top notch. Virgin vapour is great stuff, very clean, and great customer service. Orb vapour also has some great flavours, and were pretty helpful. Id easily recommend both, there stuff is popping with rich, full flavour, true to life flavour, and clean pure aromatics.

I am very happy with what I have now. If I went back, my two regrets would be not going straight to well rated clearo's, and the amount of messing around I did to find the right flavours, pg/vg/ nicotine etc - when I'd rather have spent that effort on a broader collection of juices I like (obviously). That last one is hard to navigate, because taste is individual of course.

So yeah, if I brought a set-up again, knowing what I know, and had $300 bucks, a lot of that would go on juice. Id buy 3 of the longer volt batteries (get one free, so you could do just 2), 6 of my fav clearos (KR), 3 of the shorter ones (Innokin) for portability, a charger, a wall plug, just any decent battery USB charger (doesnt need to be a proper PCC) and spend a load on juice, a smorgasboard of 100% VG organic sweet vapes, fruit, berries (peach, apple, blueberry, raspberry, strawberry), clean simple dessert flavours (coffee's can be weird, and I'd avoid anything thats a complex food like cake - one food flavours like chocolate, vanilla, caramel) and a bunch of good more PG heavy tobaccos, the milder stuff to complement the fruit for a smooth vape all in 24mg nicotine obviously. At least half to money would be good juices - nothing too daring, and a good mix of organic sweets, with absolute containing tobaccos

Someone who uses bigger batteries might say that my battery life is too short, but with WTA you puff alot less. They might also say that my heat is too low, but to be frank, with the KR808 1ml's, I had to up my VG content to make the throat hit bareable, and I can make some decent enough clouds, so I really dont think that's true. The ohms is just on the threshold of what the longer volt can handle, but at average 2.1, with a bat capacity (regulated) of 320 Mah, it seems safe to me (specially with reduced puffing due to wta's). I avoid using the KR's on the shorter batteries, for that I used the innokins, which still produce pretty good vapour next to carto's, and are nice if I want to vape pure tobacco's but not have it get too harsh (ie if I want to soften some e-liquid, they are ideal - but still have fairly decent vapour)

So yeah, for me, it was a journey yes, corner store ones were super sucky. Regulated next gen 808's are the way to go for me, better vapour, more consistant, better life. And carto's were not up to stratch either, so finding some good nano clearos was a big step forward. But alot of the tinkering beyond that has been juice. Finding that "sisha" type flavour with 100% VG organic sweet vapes mixed with WTA tobaccos, in a mix so that the VG/PG winds up at 50/50 which blunts the overly intense throat hit I was getting on the clearos with 24mg nic.

I wanted a PCC, but the mega PCC failed on me twice, and couldnt get it replaced second time. I found that just any old portable battery charger works just as well, just get a 2000 odd MAH usb phone charger, and take that with you gear and the charger. I got a solar one, as well just for camping, or power outages.

Backups is very wise too. You don't want just one battery, or just a few clearo, cartos. Three seems ideal to me, with a charger of any sort, in case your away from a power point for ages and ages (although think about it 3 batteries should give me nine days. So I wonder if ill ever actually need my 2200 Mah solar usb charger)

Of course finding WTA was huge too. Couldn't get that relaxing feeling without it. And if I didn't get satiating, id be hand to mouth vaping and need a bigger battery for battery life. ATM, one longer battery lasts me a couple of days. With three always charged, I just swap one out, throw the other on the charger, and its painless.

I don't see myself ever using variable voltage, or a bigger battery, this seems prefect, and those things seem overkill - I had to balance down my throat hit already on the KR. I can get variable heat if I really need it for certain flavours just by switching to the innokin for a slight softer vape heat.

So 2 x 320 Mah auto volt batteries (plus one for free) - Dont skim on the colours, and go plain, the colours are awesome :) - $28
2 usb chargers (one spare) + wall adapter ($24)
Some kinda USB charger battery, 1500Mah up (not a PCC, can be solar if ya like, but others are smaller/more portable) -Lets say forty for a higher capacity one $40 (IDK what youd get for that maybe 4000 Mah, or 2800 with solar?). Smokeless image has a huge one with 10,000 Mah, for $70 if you usually carry a bag when out.
6 x KR808 m3 1 ml clearos 2.1 ohm, 3 x innokin 1ml clearo 2.7 ohm = $27

Total, approx $114. Take a pic for your free volt battery. Thats $186 to get a range of juice flavours, lots of varieties (nothing too weird, be conservative in guessing what you like, but get a variety, a mix of tobaccos and food vapes, I reckon, based on my tastes as I suggest above). The wide variety of flavours, and the ability to fine tune your PG/VG, nic, wta, and flavour combinations will be much appreciated by any one staring out.. Cause you can't know exactly what flavours work, and you most likely will want a variety (most of us dont vape one thing forever), you can spend alot of money of e-liquids. Worth considering, that the quest for the right e-liquid is just as demanding (more so for me), than the quest for the right battery/cart/carto/clearo combo - and it costs bucks.

If you dont want WTA, or your going for a smaller nicotine content than 24 (like 12), you may want a slightly bigger battery etc.

This works perfectly for the level of satiation I get (1/2 - 2/3 wta with 24mg nic overall)

It's amazing how much $300 gets you when you take Provari out of your vocabulary. Lol. I love messing with the brotherhood of the battery tube.

Its amazing how many more PV's you need for 300 bucks when you take a Provari out of the equation. I have a couple of cheap ego backups BUT Ive never needed them :)

If you havent already, you should look up the Richmond Vapers Group on FB Tombstooned. We have a vapers meet every month usually in Chester. Is a great place to meet some awesome people, try new mods and juices and have a great time.

I own a Vamo v2, two Protanks, and a couple 1000Mah egos. Nobody NEEDS the list I put together but that's how i'd spend the $300 if I had it to blow. I hooked up with RVG around the first of the month(when voltage opened) but I was not able to attend the last meet. I'll see you at the next one tho, look for the guy with the beard holding this 100_1263.jpg
