If you work in a hospital...

That's another reason that pushed me to start vaping just recently. My work doesn't permit smoking on the grounds (I just got this job 4 months ago).. and it's a lovely Michigan winter... it got wayyy to cold to keep walking next door to the party store parking lot, and it didn't make sense to go hop in a cold car just to drive it off the grounds for a quick smoke and still freeze. Now I just sneak away into the bathrooms

I went to my doc last month and told him I had quite analogs two months before and was vaping. He was always telling me to quit analogs, however, he would not put me on Chantix due to side effects. I showed him my KR808 and he asked me to show him how it worked. He called it an inhaler, had heard of them, but never seen one or someone using one. I went back last week and he asked me how it was going - I told him it has now been 3 months and not one analog. He said that he had researched it and had told several people about it already. He said it was better than smoking, of course, but would like for me to get off the vaping too. I told him that I was lowering my nic level gradually however I really LOVED the nic buzz now! He laughed and said 'I need to get one of those.' under his breath. He said that nicotine was a constrictor ( I knew that already.) but was very happy that I had success with it. I gave him the name of the site I order from and one of their calling cards they sent with one of my orders. I know that he wants me to quit it all eventually but in the meantime he's off my back! Honestly, he seemed very happy and I bet he's already placed an order himself (he used to smoke too.)

I really hope that this will catch on for people in healthcare..if you work in that field you know how stressful it can be..I dunno, but as a patient if my provider had just had a rough time w/ a patient before me, I'd much rather they pop into the lou and take a drag or 2 before seeing me..I draw blood, and its much easier to tackle the next patient if say, the 1 yr old previous just threw a fit..kinda stressed you out, usually the parent is stressed as well..have a little vape and you can start fresh with the next person. I was able to convert one of the ER nurses on my first day..I <3 vaping!

My boss has always been tollerant of my smoking, almost to a fault. Of course there was no smoking in the office, but we took frequent smoke breaks just outside the back door. There is one lady there who just really hated that we smoked. Now, I can stand right in front of her in the office and vape, she will even sniff my vapors and try to guess the flavor! I still don't vape if a customer is within site as they mistake it for smoking but all the people I work with are great with it (except for one girl who smokes who is put off that I can vape in the office and don't go out to smoke with her anymore, for some reason she doesn't want to try vaping).

This past Monday, I spent a stressful day at the hospital with my wife & 20 month old son. His pediatrician was concerned that he might have an Intussusception and they were trying to get a positive diagnosis with some tests that were pretty hard on the little guy. They also tried repeatedly to start an I.V. on him due to dehydration, but he had enough spunk in him to fight them off. By 6 o'clock that evening, they hadn't successfully run any tests nor got the I.V. going and the doctor wanted to transfer him the the Children's Medical Center in Dallas via ambulance for diagnosis and treatment.

My REO Grand got lots of hard use right there in the exam room!

Happy ending: When the doctor called the hospital in Dallas to arrange the transfer, the doctor in Dallas told him to use MRI to check for the Intussusception. My son was totally exhausted by that point and slept through it. They got great images and determined that his bowels were fine and discharged him. My son was perking up as we left the hospital, and so we went to dinner at a local restaurant. The doctor hadn't let my son eat or drink all day. He very much enjoyed the white gravy that came with his chicken strips. He kept dunking a piece of dinner roll into the gravy and slurping it off. He got gravy everywhere. Even behind his ears. We all laughed and let him do as he pleased.

My PV at the hospital made the whole affair a tad more tolerable.
