I found on you tube a video where if you have a cappuccino machine, you can use the (frother?) to steam out your carto's. It worked like a charm in the video and it was fast. But of coarse, you must first own the machine. Ours broke before we got into vaping, so I can't swear by it. Also, it may not work so good on clearo's,..... maybe too hot.

My wife has been wanting a cappuccino / espresso machine and I’ve been blowing her off because I’m cheap and like my coffee made with a French press.

But now I think I should tell her she’s right and we should have one if she really wants one so badly.

Who know which ones clean cartos the best?

Well mine is all dried and I filled it, gonna let it soak in and give a verdict on my milder cleaning. I didn't do anything major like ultrasonic or pressure, just a syringe and flush with hot water. Hopefully I get the same results :D

They really don't get all that gunked up like the smaller cartos. A nice flush like you did is probably all they need. A rule of thumb for me is fill it and let it sit for an hour or so and then top it off a little again. Always tastes so much better that way.

WELL.... methinks I didn't let it dry quite long enough cuz the pull was still hard, i put some pg into it to test and that made it much easier, I think that was the key thing to make it work better, but its back to near perfect.

Seriously rain, ya gotta let ALL cartos completely dry. Keep in mind when they do dry, the filler contracts a bit. Any water will hinder vaporization and the draw. Just let 'em dry and then treat as a new carto.

BTW, have ya heard about my laptop exhaust fan drying method? Winner!

Hey, ya'll have a great week, ya 'ear?!?

ETA: The red above needs to be clarified. When the carto is cleaned, the filler will contract and cause a light draw. That's until you refill a couple of times and the filler expands and creates a more resistive draw. Sorry if I misrepresented that aspect...

Can't get any easier or cheaper! I used a gold barrel just for photo contrast.

BTW, once I knew this setup worked well, I super-glued the hose to the tip so I wouldn't lose it.

Second flush report:

After the first flush, the eMDCC performed surprisingly well as I reported earlier. Well, the draw finally was getting tight and I did a reflush. Clean as a whistle, refilled and... sorry to say, no go. The draw was tighter than Keysbum's sleeveless t-shirts!8-o

I took the carto apart and found that the filler was very clean. The coil tube and individual coil covers were just very slightly tainted. I think that the filler was just too compacted to allow a good pull. Too bad... everything else looked in operational condition and clean.

I was thinking that maybe a vodka rinse might not compact the filler so much... but then, hell, that $2.49 puppy lasted six weeks! Why bother?

So I see one flush and then the parts bin. Hope this helps the eMDCC lovers/haters out there. Happy and heavy vaping! :vapor:

A $1.00 syringe and $.02 of tubing. Tried with several cartos and they were nothing close to a new one. Life is short and cartos are cheap. Use'm and pitch'm.

Iffy, the carto you gave me lasted for I'm guessing 25 mls of Strawberry before it just didn't taste right. Flushed it like an industrial toilet but it just wasn't the same. But hell, 25mls is pretty damn good. Too bad I wasted another 4 or 5 when I tried to refill it and it sucked. My takeaway, give up on the flushing, screw on a new one and life is good. BTW Those shirts are xx's. Should I get some xxx's

I didn't have any luck flushing mine. When I would do primer puffs vapor would come out of my mouth, but inhaling wouldn't produce any vapor. I had let mine sit for a week or so, on top of the radiator tower for my water cooled PC (the thing stays pretty hot all day) so I'm pretty sure it was dry.

The thing that works the best for me is just blowing these things out. I take the mouth piece off, wrap a paper towel around the threaded end and blow in it pretty good. All the darker, burned up looking liquid comes out. Then I get a straightened paper clip and stick it through the bottom and wipe the black stuff off.

I was thinking that a bicycle pump or an air compressor might be a better option, but I haven't found a good way to seal the pump nozzle to the cart.

Use a stepped tapered nozzle and the tubing I mentioned. Just be sure to use low pressure to minimize filler compression.
