IGo-L goes round and round

The IGO-L on my tesla mod just spins round and round. You go to tighten it down and its like it drops below the thread and just wobbles and spins. To stop this I used to cut a small piece of paper clip and put it between the + connection, wasnt ever stable 100% of the time but I could use it. Getting tired of doing that though. Why does this happen, did the pin get pushed down some how? I have no connection issues with mini pro tanks and the IGO-L works fine and tight on the emaxx battery.
