here's what I can think of..

-Your atty is not making contact with the connection on the device
-Your ohm's are too low for your device to fire it (as mentioned from 2nd post)
-Your coil isn't properly connected to the posts

If you have a mechanical mod with high amp battery, You should test your igo on it and see if it fires.

I unscrewed the center pin screw just slightly and hit it gently with a philips head screwdriver and hammer on an old ego. It pushed the center post just enough to make contact every time.

I think he has a sub ohm coil and is trying it on a regulated device hence the "non" reading. 5 wraps of 27 gauge is going to be low

Maybe. What mm is the outside dimension of the coils? I'm pretty sure itaste products are not meant for sub-ohming, maybe micro coils.

i did 8 wraps and it's still not working I'm starting to wonder if i got a bad head.

What are you wrapping around? Silica? what mm silica? A drill bit? if we can get an estimate of the size of the wraps we can take a better guess.

Also what device are you putting it on?

If it's on an innokin product and giving you a non and your coil is wrapped well it's probably the center post not making contact with the battery pin. You may need to pull the pin on the igo down or on the innokin product up depending.

That's now been suggested 3 times and has not been addressed by the OP.

im wrapping it with silica wick

WHat size of silica wick? 1mm, 2mm, 3mm?

Here is why I ask when I do 5 wraps with 32 gauge kanthal on 3 mm silica wick I hit 1.7 ohms roughly which should fire on most devices.

27 gauge is going to be MUCH lower ohms than 32 gauge. I would probably try about 11 wraps and see if it fires. THat is a guess since we do not know what device you are trying to fire it on and minimum ohms varies a bit from one to another.
